Here's the original version of pad kra pao (aka pad krapow). The Thai holy basil stir fry is a popular dish, but the version you've had is probably a modern variety. Here's the way this dish used to be: simpler, easier, but still just as delicious.

I made Korean spicy pork recipe a long time ago, you can still find right here-

=================================================
Korean Spicy Pork (Pork Bulgogi)
Ingredients
8 cloves garlic, chopped
1 red chili, chopped (optional)
2 green onion, white/light green part chopped, green part sliced
1 large yellow or sweet onion, very thinly sliced
2 Tbs. Sempio's soy sauce (GanJang)
5 Tbs. Sempio's Korean red pepper paste (Gochujang)
3 Tbs. Mirin (Seasoned rice wine, apple juice can be substituted for mirin)
1 Tbs. Korean red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tsp. Sesame seeds, crushed with fingers
1 Tbs. Sesame oil
pinch of salt and pepper
1 1/2 lb. Thinly sliced pork butt (Pork shoulder or belly can be substituted for pork butt)
1 King oyster mushrooms, cut into bite size (optional)
=================================================
You can serve with just a bowl of warm rice, it is super delicious!
My favorite way to eat is though, wrap it with rice in lettuce! I always use mixture of greens and herbs whatever fresh in market.
In this video I used green and red lettuce, raw cabbage, Korean wild sesame leaves(perilla/깻잎) and crown daisy (Tong ho/쑥갓).
