Shrimp paste dip or nam prik gapi is a classic Thai dish that's eaten all over Thailand. It's a bit of an acquired taste, but once you've acquired it there is nothing quite like it. Not everyone is a fan of shrimp paste, but you might be surprised. Even Adam loves this dip!

Sun dried tomatoes 3 pieces (30 kcals)
Shrimp 260 grams (183 kcals)
Whole wheat linguini (380 kcals)
Coconut milk lite 320 ml (200kcals)
I used 1 tbsp of creole seasoning across the recipe

51 grams protein
94 grams carbs (12 grams fiber)

How to cook shrimp paste sweet and spicy
Ingredients:
1/2 kilo Raw shrimp paste
250g brown sugar
1 cup vinegar
2 whole garlic
Chili
Star anis (optional)
Cooking oil
Instructions:
1. In a pan put the raw shrimp paste, add 1/2 cup vinegar. Removed scums and wait until vinegar dissolve. Set aside
2. Heat a pan. Add oil and sauté garlic until light brown.
3. Add the shrimp paste, brown sugar and wait until the the sugar dissolves. Add chili pepper and star anis (optional).
4. Pour the remaining 1/2 cup vinegar. Cook in low heat for 5 to 10 minutes.
5. Share and enjoy!

►1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
►1 Tbsp oil
►1 small onion, finely chopped
►2 Tbsp butter
►1 garlic clove
►1/3 cup white wine (I used Ste Chapelle Chardonnay ~$6)
►2 cups heavy whipping cream
►1/3 cup parmesan cheese
►S&P to taste
►Sprinkle of paprika
►Parsley or basil for garnish if desired
