1 1/2 c Flour 2 1/2 c Sour milk or buttermilk
1 ts Salt 2 Eggs, well beaten
1 ts Baking soda 1 tb Sugar
2 tb Water 2 tb Butter or butter
substitute 1/4 ts Maple flavoring
Sift flour, measure, and sift with baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt. Add to oats and milk. Add butter, water and eggs. Beat thoroughly. Bake on hot griddle. 24 servings. Mrs. Scott Baxter, Latty, OH. -----

Baked oats is trending right now, but if you make it wrong it will taste like cardboard. Here is how I made Moist Chocolate Cake with Oatmeal. You first have to blend the oatmeal until it’s really fine and to keep it moist I add mashed banana and coconut oil.
INGREDIENTS
1 cup rolled oats
¼ cup cocoa powder
1 tsp. baking powder
1 mashed banana
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
¼ cup coconut oil
¼ cup maple syrup
½ cup of dark chocolate chips
INSTRUCTIONS
Blend oats until fine.
Then add cocoa powder, baking powder, mashed banana, egg, vanilla extract, coconut oil and maple syrup.
Blend until batter is thick and creamy.
Spray Ramekins with oil and pour in batter ½ way filled, top with a handful of chocolate chips and top with a little more batter.
Bake at 350˚F degrees for 20 minutes

3. Bake: Pour batter into greased baking dish or ramekin. Top with extra chocolate chips and bake at 350°F for 25 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
4. Serve: Let cool, top with an extra drizzle of peanut butter, maple syrup and a splash of milk and dive in.
