1 c Steel-cut oats
Bring water to a rolling boil. Add salt; then slowly stir in oats. Cover and let simmer for about 15 minutes or until tender. Serve with a pat of butter, milk or cream, and sweeten with honey, natural fruit or syrup. Recipe on back of 24 oz. bag of Arrowhead Mills brand steel-cut oats. First clean and wash the Steel Cut Oats under running water to remove the husk.
I added spring onion to increase the fiber. You can add regular onion instead. Pav bhaji masala can be replaced by any Garam masala or red chilli powder. Add double quantity of water to get smooth texture of Oats. 3 whistles on high flame if you are using cooker. Add some fresh coriander while serving.
