2 x Pita breads (6" diameter) 2 t Margarine 2 t Oregano 4 T Grated Parmesan cheese Preheat broiler. Split pitas horizontally into 2 rounds. Spread rough edges with margarine. Place on cookie sheet. In a small bowl, toss together oregano and Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle over margarine. Cut each bread into wedges. Broil about 5" from heating element until crisp, about 2 minutes. Watch carefully! VARIATIONS: experiment with other herbs of your choice such as chives and parsley; or, omit oregano and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve alone or with dips or pates.

Ingredients:
2 teaspoons Poppy Seeds
2 teaspoons {heaping} Garlic n' Herb Seasoning Blend {I love Simply Organic}
3/4 teaspoon Kosher Salt
5 to 6 Pocket-less Pita Flatbreads, halved and quartered into 8 triangles
2-3 tablespoons Olive Oil
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a small bowl combine poppy seeds, garlic n' herb mix and kosher salt.
Toss pita triangles with olive oil and everything seasoning blend. Arrange the pita triangles among two rimmed sheet pans in an even layer and bake for 10-15 minutes, rotating the pan halfway. No need to flip the pita triangles. Bake until golden and crispy.
NOTE: If you don't have this garlic herb mix or you can't find it in your local grocery store... do not fret. You can easily substitute 3/4 teaspoon sesame seeds, 3/4 teaspoon garlic flakes, 3/4 teaspoon minced onion flakes and 1/2 teaspoon of dried parsley flakes instead.

BAKED PITA CRISPS - 1-Minute Video! – This recipe for BAKED PITA CRISPS will provide you with crunchy, crispy chips perfect for dips, spreads and munching. Ready in less than 10 minutes, this quick recipe really goes the distance. We like to double the recipe so that we have back up for whenever friends drop by for a visit.
Here’s how to make them:
INGREDIENTS 4 whole wheat pita, cut into wedges and divided 3 cloves of garlic, smashed 2 T of extra virgin olive oil ¼ C of Parmesan cheese, grated
INSTRUCTIONS 1) Preheat oven to 375°F. 2) Cut the pita bread into wedges, pulling them apart into two pieces. Space the wedges out onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. 3) Place garlic and oil into a small bowl and stir with a pastry brush to combine. Brush oil onto the wedges of pita. Sprinkle with cheese. 4) Transfer to oven and toast until lightly browned and crispy. Serve on their own, or with your favourite dip or spread.
