FULL RECIPE
Serves 16
Hands-on time: 15 minutes
Hands-off time: 50 minutes
INGREDIENTS
¾ cup margarine, melted
⅔ cup SPAR Brand Honey
2 SPAR Freshline Green Pears
2 cups Kellogg’s® Fruit Mix Granola
1½ cups (170g) self-raising flour
¾ cup SPAR Brand Pressed & Squeezed Pear Juice
1 tub (150g) SPAR Brand Double Cream Plain Yoghurt
3 large eggs
Serving suggestion:
Whipped cream
Mint leaves
Glass of SPAR Brand Pressed & Squeezed Pear Juice
METHOD
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a 20cmx26cm baking dish with baking paper.
2. Add ¼ cup of the melted margarine with ⅓ cup of SPAR Brand Honey to a small heatproof bowl.
3. Heat the margarine honey mixture in the microwave for 2 minutes until slightly thickened, stirring in 30 second intervals. Drizzle the melted margarine mixture on the base of the baking dish.
4. Slice the SPAR Freshline Green Pears in half. Place the sliced halved side down onto the board and cut the SPAR Freshline Green Pear into ¼ cm thick slices. Arrange the sliced pears neatly in the prepared baking dish. *Chef’s Tip: Adding the pears to the base of the dish will help them caramelise!
5. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Kellogg’s® Fruit Mix Granola, self-raising flour, SPAR Brand Pressed & Squeezed Pear Juice, SPAR Brand Double Cream Plain Yoghurt, eggs, the remaining ⅓ cup of honey and remaining melted margarine. Mix until combined.
6. Pour the batter over the pears and smooth out the top.
7. Bake the traybake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through and golden brown.
8. Allow the traybake to cool for 30 minutes. Once cooled, place a wooden board over the dish and carefully flip the baking dish over. Lift the baking dish off the traybake and gently peel off the baking paper.
9. Slice the traybake into 16 squares, add a dollop of whipped cream to each portion, garnish with mint, serve with SPAR Brand Pressed & Squeezed Pear Juice and ENJOY!

Chargrilled Veg Kebabs with Easy Flatbreads | Happy Pear
This colourful recipe is great for getting the kids involved in the kitchen and a really fun way to see them eat their five a day. Our kids loved choosing the veg for the skewers which were chargrilled to perfection with cubes of haloumi cheese. The easy flatbread brushed with herbs was a hoot for little hands to make and finished the dish off perfectly.
This recipe is based on Jamie’s Chargrilled Veg Kebab recipe:
