Saute garlic in oil with hot pepper flakes as desired. When garlic turns color, add basil, tomato, oregano, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes while you wash and trim broccoli to bite size pieces; blanch broccoli in boiling water, drain and add to skillet. Simmer, covered, about 5 minutes more. Prepare pasta al dente, serve with grated cheese.

Pasta con broccoli e acciughe ricetta deliziosa. Quale è il segreto per farla perfetta?
La pasta coi broccoli è uno dei piatti più gustosi e sani che l’inverno ci regala. Non serve molto per preparare questa ricetta molto leggera e che vi fornirà un ottimo apporto di ferro e vitamina K.
Ingredienti per 4 persone:
spaghetti 400 gr.
broccoli 800 gr.
3 spicchi d'aglio
6 pomodorini ciliegino
6 filetti d'acciughe sott'olio
prezzemolo
peperoncino piccante

Don't Just Boil The Pasta For PASTA WITH BROCCOLI...
Pasta con broccoli (pasta with broccoli) is such an easy pasta dish that is so hearty and comforting. Besides the broccoli and pasta (used orecchiette, but any small pasta like ditalini or small shells work well), all you need to make this classic Italian pasta recipe is garlic, olive oil, Pecorino Romano cheese, chili flakes, and pasta water. The key to making it is in the pasta water. The very al dente pasta and broccoli cook in the pasta water forming an almost creamy consistency. This is made just like how Pasta e Fagioli or Pasta e Ceci is typically made. I hope you enjoy this pasta with broccoli recipe!
Another great Italian broccoli recipe:
INGREDIENTS:
-1 pound orecchiette - or any pasta you like
-1 large head of broccoli
-6 cloves garlic - sliced
-1/3 cup olive oil
-1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
-1/2 cup pecorino cheese - grated
-1/2 tsp chili flakes
-2 cups pasta water

This is my absolute favourite at the moment, alongside a faux truffle mushroom pasta I love too. But it’s VERY easy and very affordable as well. This serves two - I made it for Mark and I at the weekend - but you can adjust very easily.
INGREDIENTS
1 head of broccoli cut into florets (I use the stalk too)
250g pasta (rigatoni is my fave)
A good glug of olive oil
4 cloves of roughly chopped garlic
A good pinch of chilli flakes - add as little or as much as you like
A good pinch of sea salt and pepper
Juice of half a lemon
A handful of grated Parmesan or its cheaper cousin, Grana Padano, is a great affordable alternative. You could even use finely grated cheddar really.
Add your broccoli to a large pan of salted water and cook until tender, remove and set aside, reserving the water, which you can now cook your pasta in for extra flavour. As your pasta cooks, add a generous glug of olive oil to a large frying pan, on a medium heat, followed by your garlic, chilli flakes and salt and pepper. Add your broccoli back in to take on the flavour and cook for a couple of minutes. When your pasta is cooked, add it to the broccoli pan, along with a ladle of pasta water to help emulsify and loosen your sauce. Add your lemon juice, parmesan and then mix and serve! It’s so delicious and so easy to make. I hope you like it!
