How To make Onion Buns
2 1/2 c Soy milk
3 tb Dairy free margarine
1 tb Prepared yellow mustard
2 tb Dried minced onion
2 1/4 oz Active dry yeast
2 tb Sugar
6 c Unbleached white flour
1/2 c Wheatgerm
2 ts Salt
1/2 ts Black pepper
1/4 ts Turmeric
Heat soymilk with margarine, mustard, and dry onion until warm to touch (not scalding). Let cool to 120-130 degrees F.
Mix undissolved yeast with sugar, 2 cups flour, salt, pepper and turmeric in a large bowl. Beat in seasoned soymilk; mix well. Stir in wheat germ, then add remaining flour one cup at a time, mixing each cup in until well-mixed. When you have a soft ball, turn out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until dough is smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, turning to coat dough. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 1/2 hours.
Punch dough down and divide into 16 equal pieces. Shape into burger buns or hot dog buns, placing on cookie sheets that have been sprayed with non-stick spray. Brush lightly with vegetable oil. Cover with saran wrap. Allow to rise about 45 minutes. Bake in a 350 degree oven about 20 minutes, until golden brown. Cool on wire racks. Recipe by Shirley Wilkes-Johnson

(8 inches removable base quiche pan / tart pan)
(A) Butter & scallion mixture:-
1. 25g ( 2 1/2 tbsps ) Soften butter
2. 1 tbsp Scallions / green onions ( sliced into small size )
3. 1 tsp Garlic ( finely chopped )
4. A pinch of salt
5. Sprinkles of black pepper
(B) Dough:-
1. 180g ( 1 1/4 cup ) Bread flour
2. 3g ( 1/2 tsp full ) Salt
3. 25g ( 2 tbsps ) Caster sugar
4. 4g ( 1 1/4 tsp ) Instant dried yeast
5. 100ml Warm milk
6. 1 Egg
7. 15g ( 1 1/2 tbsp ) Soften butter
(C) Topping:-
1. 60g ( 1/2 cup ) Mozzarella cheese
2. 40g ( 1/4 cup ) Cheddar cheese
2. Scallions (green onions) for sprinkes on top of bread
Bake in a preheated 165°C ~ 185°C oven for 13 ~ 15 minutes.
Baking time & temperature may vary depending on the type and accuracy of oven. You may need to adjust your oven temperature accordingly.

Dough
250g (2 cups) all-purpose flour
1½ tsp instant dry yeast
1 tbsp sugar
1 large egg
42g (3 tbsp) butter, melted.
125ml (1/2 cup) milk
1 tsp salt
Butter mixture:
1 stalk spring onion, finely chopped.
3 tbsp softened butter
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic granules/powder
Dried parsley for topping
Baking time: 20 minutes
Baking temp: 200°C, preheated oven.

Bun Ingredients:
• Water (Lukewarm) – 130ml
• Yeast – 5g
• Plain Flour – 300g
• Sugar – 20g
• Salt – ½ tsp for dough | 1 tsp for filling
• Eggs – 1 for dough | 1 for egg batter
• Onion – 2
• Chilli (large) – 1
• Spring Onion – 3
• Curry Leaves – handful
• Oil – 3 Tbsp
• Chilli Flakes – 1 Tbsp
• Turmeric – ¼ tsp
• Unroasted Curry Powder – 1 tsp
• Butter – 35g
• Milk – 1 Tbsp

Onion buns: soft and airy, they are the perfect addition to any dinner or lunch menu!
Homemade is SO much better than store-bought!INGREDIENTS
1 cup warm water;
1 tsp salt;
2 tbsp vegetable oil;
500 g (1 pound) flour;
2 medium (or 1 large) white onion, thinly sliced;
1 tsp salt;
¼ cup chopped mixed greens (parsley, dill, scallions).
METHOD
Mix warm water, salt, vegetable oil and flour to make a smooth and slightly sticky dough. Adjust the amount of flour if needed.
Wrap the dough and set aside for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, mix the sliced onion with greens and salt. Massage salt into the mixture with your fingers.
Roll the dough as thinly as possible. Squeeze any excess liquid from onion and spread it into an even layer all over the rolled out dough.
Roll the dough into a log and slice into 6-8 pieces. Press each one with your fingers to form a small bun.
Fry onion buns with some vegetable over medium-low heat for 6-7 minutes, flipping halfway through. They should be golden on the outside and soft in the middle.
