INGREDIENTS
1 cup butter
2 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
2 1/4 cup rolled oats
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoon flour all purpose
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a saucepan over medium heat, brown butter until it turns brown in color and nutty in aroma. Remove from heat.
In a mixing bowl or mixer, combine brown sugar, oats, vanilla and egg. Add brown butter. Mix until combined
Stir in salt and flour.
Using a cookie scoop, drop onto a parchment lined cookie sheet leaving ample room to spread. Bake 6 minutes or until golden brown.
NOTES
Stack in cellophane favor bags and tie with a ribbon for a beautiful Christmas gift for friends, family, coworkers, neighbors and more!
These are large cookies (and you deserve it!), should you choose to make them smaller, reduce baking time so the edges don't burn.
Use real butter, not margarine. Margarine doesn't brown and caramelize.
Allow to cool to set.
Variations:
Drizzle or fill with chocolate.
Substitute some oatmeal with nuts or almond slices.
Substitute all purpose flour with rice flour to make them gluten free.
How to Store:
Cool cookies before storing.
Do not store with soft cookies. They'll absorb the moisture.
Glass or covered containers are ideal for storing crispy cookies (do not store in plastic as it will create moisture).
Store with wax paper.
Refrigerating cookies will also help keep them crisp.
Freeze in a tin (to keep them from crumbling) for up to 3 months. Bring to room temperature to thaw.

All Clad Saucepan 3 qt:
Pyrex Bowl 3 Set:
Oatmeal Lace Cookies
1 cup butter
2 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
2 1/4 cup rolled oats
3 Tablespoon flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicon baking mats.
Brown butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring often, until butter has melted and turned brown. Take off heat and stir in oats, flour, salt, vanilla and egg, mixture until everything is incorporated.
Drop cookie batter by the teaspoon onto prepared baking sheets, leaving at least 2 inches between each cookie to allow them to spread.
Bake for 5 -7 minutes, watching closely to prevent them from over-baking. The lace cookies should be golden brown.
Allow to cool on the cookie sheet for 30 seconds and remove onto racks to cool completely.
Store in an airtight container. Enjoy!

????????????????????INSTRUCTIONS ????????????????????????
1. Place 1 1/2 cups of whole raw almonds into a food processor and pulse them on high speed until they chop up into fine crumbs. Then set them aside.
2. In a medium saucepan add 1/2 cup unsalted butter, 3/4 cup brown sugar, and 1/4 cup honey. Stir using a metal whisk.
3. Once it comes to a boil, turn the heat off and remove the saucepan from the heat.
4. Then stir in 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract and 3 tbsp all-purpose flour.
5. Now, use a spatula to mix in the finely chopped almonds.
6. Then scoop out about 1/2 tablespoon-sized scoops of the cookie dough onto a baking sheet lined with a silicone mat. If you don’t have a silicone mat, parchment paper works too. But the mats will result in more even baking.
7. Make sure to place each scoop of the lace cookie dough at least 3 inches apart. They will spread a lot when they bake.
8. Now preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Then take each piece of cookie batter and roll it out to a ball, and place it half onto the baking sheet.
9. Place each baking sheet in the center rack (one at a time). Then bake for 8 minutes making sure to turn once after 4 minutes.
10. While the cookies are looking, melt 1 1/2 cups of semisweet chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl until fully melted. Always be sure to do this in intervals with stirring in between to avoid scorching the chocolate.
11. Now take 1 Florentine cookie and gently spread a little bit of the melted chocolate on the back of it, then place a similar sized cookie on top. So you want the back of each cookie to sandwich the chocolate in between them.
12. Let the chocolate set for about 1-2 hours before serving.
