Falafel pita sandwich | Falafel Pita Pockets with Tzatziki Sauce
Falafel pita sandwich is one of the most quintessential and beloved food of Middle East. These flavorful pitas are stuffed with spiced falafel and crisp vegetables, then topped with a creamy, refreshing tzatziki sauce. Falafel has such a prominent taste, but the tzatziki sauce and freshness of the vegetables really complement it very nicely.
Falafel is traditionally made from chickpeas (garbanzo beans) which makes it a filling, high fiber food. It also has the advantage of being vegetarian and, actually, even vegan. And Tzatziki Dip is made with seemingly simple ingredients like yogurt and olive oil, garlic and lemon juice and freshness of the cucumber.
Just the garbanzo beans (Falafel), onions, spices, vegetables and a good drizzle of tzatziki sauce, are all that go into this Falafel Pita Pockets recipe.
Falafel pita bread sandwiches/falafel pita wrap is an all-time favourite Lebanese dish/mediterranean cuisine food, Falafel can classify as a sumptuous snack or a meal in its own right depending on when you have it! This Middle-Eastern delight is quite filling, and looks and tastes exotic as well, so you can serve it with tea or at a party too.

**Health Benefits**
Chickpeas are an excellent source of protein, vitamin B6 and folate, which is also known as vitamin B9 or folic acid. Just 1 serving of our falafel sandwich provides almost half of your daily value of folate, a key player in building blocks of DNA and RNA, which are essential for rapidly growing tissues (like those of a developing fetus) and rapidly regenerating cells (like red blood cells and immune cells).
