When it comes to grilling, we love our burgers and hot dogs, but we are definitely more partial to Lebanese style grilling, like this Beef Kafta recipe. It’s perfect for grilling outdoors or on a grill pan and is so full of flavor, but only requires four basic ingredients: ground beef, onions, parsley and spices.

AUTHENTIC Lebanese Chicken Kabobs | Shish Tawook
Try this Authentic Shish Tawook recipe - a popular Lebanese grilled chicken skewers recipe. It's tender juicy chicken marinated in yogurt, lemon and garlic.

???? KABOB INGREDIENTS
2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast cut into large chunks
½ cup plain whole milk yogurt
¼ cup lemon juice
¼ cup olive oil
6 garlic cloves crushed
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon oregano
½ teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
1. In a large bowl, add the ingredients for the marinade (yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, tomato paste, all the seasoning and salt/pepper) and whisk to combine.
2. Place the chicken cubes in the same bowl and coat the chicken in the marinade. Cover, and let rest/marinate in the fridge for at least 4 hours.
3. Thread the chicken on skewers right before grilling. Add one wedge of onions to each skewer, if desired.
4. Grill on medium heat for 5-8 minutes per side.
5. Serve with pita bread, lettuce and garlic sauce, if desired.

My Favorite Flatbread for Kebabs - Soft and Leavened Lavash
Lavash is one of my favorite breads because it's so easy to make with just a large pan and staple ingredients. It's great for breakfasts, for quick sandwiches, wraps but most importantly for kebabs.
I've made video for a no yeast, easy version of lavash (link to the video below) and today we are making the leavened version which is soft, chewy, little bit fluffy and absolutely perfect for making a wrap with your favorite kebabs.

Middle Eastern Chicken Kebabs - Grilled Chicken Skewers Recipe - كباب الدجاج
These Middle Eastern Chicken Kebabs were well worth the wait. The Chicken Skewers were able to marinate for a full 27 hours before hitting the grill. The Marinade gave these Chicken Kebabs a tremendous amount of flavor that penetrated deeply into the Chicken. I cooked these Kebabs on the grill until the internal temperature of the Chicken was 165 degrees. While I made these Chicken Skewers on the grill, they can be made in the oven as well. If you are using an oven, cook the Chicken at 375 degrees until the temperature of the Chicken is 150 degrees, then place under broiler until the Chicken has a nice charred crust, ensuring the internal temperature is a minimum of 165 degrees.
Ingredients for Chicken Kebabs:
1 cup plain whole milk Greek yogurt
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons paprika
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (reduce to 1/2 teaspoon if you don't like heat)
Zest from one lemon
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice, from one lemon
1-3/4 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
5 garlic cloves, minced
2-1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs (cut into large bite-sized pieces)
1 large red onion, cut into wedges
Vegetable oil, for grill grates

►Ingredients for the Chicken Kebab
►Chicken Kebab
250g plain yogurt
5 garlic cloves
1 tsp. red chilli powder
2 tsp. coriander powder
1 tsp. cumin powder
1 tsp. paprika powder
1 tsp. turmeric powder
1/2 tsp. freshly ground blackpepper
1 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. oil
1 - 1.5 kg chicken breast cubes
Skewers
Clarified butter (ghee)
►Rice
3 large cooking spoons oil
2 onions chopped
5 garlic cloves, small twig of ginger and 3 green chilies blended together with some water
2 black cardamoms
3 green cardamoms
1 medium cassia bark
3 bay leaves
5 cloves
2 tsp. cumin powder
2 tsp. garam masala
1 tsp. blackpepper
1 tbsp. salt
3 cups of water
2 cups Basmati rice
Julienne of 2 carrots
Sultanas, not everyone likes them :D
►Sauce
3 large tomatoes
Half onion finely chopped
2 green chilies finely chopped
25g fresh coriander roughly chopped
Half a lemon juice
1 tsp. red chilli powder
1 tsp. paprika powder
Salt to taste
