1 1/2 lb Lean Ground Beef 1 ea Egg; Lg 1 c Bananas; Ripe, Mashed, 2 Lg 1/2 c Oats; Quick Cooking 1/2 c Green Bell Pepper; Chopped 2 tb Onion; Chopped 1 ts Salt 1 ts Mustard; Prepared 1/4 ts Nutmeg 1/8 ts Allspice 2 ea Slices Bacon 3 tb Orange Marmalade Heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Mix all of the ingredients, except the bacon and marmalade, together. Spread the mixture in an ungreased loaf pan, 9 X 5 X 3-inches. Crisscross the bacon slices on the top of the meat mixture and spread the marmalade over the whole thing. Bake, uncovered for 1 to 1 1/4 hours. Drain off the excess fat and let stand for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing. NOTE: The bananas add a unique, almost mysterious flavor and a special moistness to this elegant meat loaf. -----

Cast Iron BBQ Meat Loaf - How to Make | A Family Favorite!
Recipe: 1-1.5 cups of chopped yellow onion (cooked until tender-5 mins) 1-1.5 cups of chopped green or red bell pepper (cooked 5 mins) 2 pounds of raw ground turkey 1 cup of Italian bread crumbs 1 cup of low sodium chicken broth 2 egg whites or 1 whole egg/1 egg white 1/4 cup parsley 2 tsp basil 1 tsp cumin salt & pepper to taste garlic powder to taste 1/2-1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce for top of loaf Honey (I used organic) to weave on top of loaf with BBQ sauce
Mix all together and bake in cast iron skillet in a 375 degree oven for an hour or so until your meat thermometer reads 160 degrees.
