Ep. 403: Maple Brown Sugar Cookies ????????

Today’s Recipe I am making Maple Brown Sugar Cookies with Maple Syrup Glaze! These are soft, chewy and full of Maple Goodness in every bite; you’ll be in Heaven once you taste these!! Perfect for the Fall Season!!!

Dry Ingredients
3 cups self rising or all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cornstarch
1 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp salt (if using all purpose flour)
Wet Ingredients
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine, softened
1 1/2 cups packed light or dark brown sugar
1 extra large or jumbo egg, room temperature
1/3 cup pure maple syrup
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 tsp pure maple extract
Maple Syrup Glaze
1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
6 tbsp pure maple syrup
For the Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, add flour, baking soda, cornstarch (baking powder and salt, if using); sift or whisk together until well incorporated. Set aside.
For the Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl with hand mixer, add butter, margarine and brown sugar; cream on medium speed until fluffy (Scrape the Bowl Occasionally). Next add and mix in the egg until well combined. Then add and mix in vanilla and maple extract and maple syrup until well incorporated. Next slowly add the flour mixture into the butter mixture and continue mixing until well combined. Cover the cookie dough with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator and chill for 1 hour.
Preheat Oven to 375 Degrees
Line a 9x13 inch long cookie sheet with parchment paper, aluminum foil or grease with baking spray. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop cookie dough onto the pan by the spoonfuls about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove the cookies from the oven and cool on a wire rack for a few minutes. Drizzle the maple syrup glaze on top of the warm cookies, place the cookies onto a cake stand or platter, serve and enjoy!
For the Maple Syrup Glaze: In a small or medium bowl, add the powdered sugar, melted butter and maple syrup; stir or whisk until well combined (the glaze will be thick and sticky).

HomeBaked Chocolate Chips Cookies...that kids will surely Love!
These Homebaked Chocolate Chips Cookies are easy to make: crisp edges, soft and chewy middles because of the cornstarch added.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 stick softened butter (115g)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 pc egg
1/2 cup chocolate chips + more for toppings
2 tbsp water

jumbo chocolate chunk muffins Something Vegan
RECIPE
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup vegan chocolate chunks
3/4 cup organic sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup non-dairy milk
1/3 cup neutral oil
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. white vinegar
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. To a bowl, add flour, vegan chocolate chunks, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir well. Add non-dairy milk, oil, vanilla extract, and vinegar. Stir just until combined. Scoop the batter into a lined and greased jumbo muffin pan. Bake 35-40 minutes, or until muffins start to turn golden brown, and a toothpick inserted into the middles comes out clean. Makes 6 jumbo muffins (You could also make 12 regular sized muffins, but would only need to bake them about 20-25 minutes.)
