Directions
MAKING:
Dissolve coffee in warm water.
Heat 3 cups of water in a saucepan. Add sugar and boil until sugar dissolves. Once done, add the coffee mixture and stir well. Turn off the heat when the mixture starts to boil.

Put a small portion of vanilla bean into mason jar and pour the prepared mixture into it.
Place the mason jars into cooler and place in closet. Wait for 30 days before serving.

???? DIY Coffee Liqueur - like Kahlua, but better
When we started this process of figuring out how to make Kahlua coffee liqueur at home, we found most of the recipes were too sweet, and lacked complexity of flavour. They all had only one note - and it was weak coffee flavoured vodka. It just didn't work for us.
So we started our DIY Coffee Liqueur with fresh dark roasted coffee beans that we gently smashed in a mortar and pestle. We then added ½ a vanilla bean, and bathed this in 151º over proof rum. You really want to layer flavour over flavour, and the higher alcohol helps dissolve more of the oils in the coffee - it also keeps the final product from being to cloyingly sweet when you dilute it later with simple syrup. Rounding out the complex flavour profile is a cinnamon stick, some orange peel, and crushed cocoa nibs. The Dude would be proud!
Our full cocktail playlist:
Ingredients:
2 cups (500 mL) 151º overproof rum (75.5% alc)
1 cup (250 mL) dark roast ground coffee (we just smash in a mortar and pestle)
1/2 vanilla bean
½ cinnamon stick
2- 3 cocoa nibs, optional
1 slice of orange peel, optional
simple syrup
This goes great in our Black Russian Cocktail:
This goes great in our Coffee Chocolate Brown Butter Brownies:
Method:
Slice the vanilla bean it open lengthwise and then scrape out the inside of the bean.
Place the bean, scrapings, course ground coffee and rum to a sealable Mason jar.
Give it a shake and set it aside someplace dark.
After 24 open the jar and toss in the cinnamon stick, cracked cocoa nibs, and orange peel.
Give it a shake and set aside for another day.
Strain the mixture through a coffee filter, and mix in the simple syrup… Now this is another place where your personal taste will come into play.
We like ours on the less sweet side so we start by mixing 1 part simple syrup to 3 parts coffee infusion; then we taste and start adjusting from there.
Ideally you want to end up with about 40% alc by volume.

Kahlua Recipe | Homemade Coffee and Cream Liqueur Holiday Drink Inspired by Cuban Café con Leche!
Here is my take on a homemade ???????????????????????? ???????????? ???????????????????? ???????????????????????????? recipe. Many of my friends had labeled it Kahlua and cream, although that was not the intention when I developed the recipe. There are many videos on YouTube for Kahlua recipes and making homemade Kahlua. These Kahlua recipes range from Kahlua mudslide, Kahlua White Russian, Kahlua with Vodka, cream, and even desserts. Despite the number of videos and their popularity, I decided to go ahead with this video because this Kahlua with cream recipe may end up being your favorite ???????????????????????? ????????????????????????.
So, let's be honest, what is Kahlua? Kahlúa is a brand and a name often used to describe coffee liqueur - Kahlua is currently owned by the Pernod Ricard company and is produced in Veracruz, Mexico. The drink contains rum, sugar, and arabica coffee. In other words, add rum to your coffee, and you have Kahlua. To set themselves apart, many YouTubers have developed recipes that included some form of simple syrup and, in many cases, corn syrup. I don't know about you, but many of re very concise as to the amount of corn syrup we ingest, and it makes no sense to me that one would add it to a very popular dring. Especially one that is homemade and one where you have complete control of what goes into it!
My ???????????????????????? ???????????? ???????????????????? recipe may appear ordinary on the outside, but one taste, and you will understand why this is one of the all-time favorites at holiday parties in my house! This ???????????????????????? ???????????? ???????????????????? ???????????????????????? is creamy and full of intense flavor from the first sip to the last drop.
???????????????????????? ???????????? ???????????????????? ???????????????????????? ????????????????????????????????????????????:
½ - Cup of Hot Water
1 - Tablespoon of Instant Coffee (Nescafe Classico has worked the best for me!)
1 - Can of Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 - Can of Evaporated Milk
2 - Egg Yolks
1 - Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
1 - Cup of Bacardi White Rum
???????????? ???????? ???????????????? ???????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????? ???????????? ???????????????????? ???????????????????????? ?????????????????????????????
Suppose you feel like, why am I going to bother making homemade Kahlua when I can just run to the store and buy it! Well, once you taste this Kahlua and cream recipe, you will understand that this takes less time than it will take you to drive to the corner liquor store. We'll start by depositing ½ a cup of hot water in a medium mixing bowl. To this, we will add one heaping tablespoon of instant coffee as well as one can of sweetened condensed milk, one can of evaporated milk, and one teaspoon of the best vanilla extract you can find!
As I mentioned in the video, I have tried several brands and types of coffee, including Folgers, Mount Hagen, Jacobs Kronung, Waka Coffee, and even Starbucks, which is the worst. Nescafe Clasico yields the best results, in my opinion.
Mix everything well, then add the two egg yolks, followed by one cup of white rum. I have tried this exact Kahlua recipe with other rums, including Captain Morgan and some Caribbean Spice Rum. They just don't taste the same. After all, if you read the bottle of the authentic ????????????????????????, it simply says RUM!
We are using eggs here, and more than likely, you may end up with some small hard particles. Mix everything well, and run it through a strainer. After bottling it, place it in the refrigerator for about 4-6 hours before consuming it. Overnight is even better! And then get ready to enjoy the ???????????????? ???????????????????????? you have ever had! My friends, my name is JC, and this is the Cuban Redneck DIY Channel, where we do cooking and grilling on Tuesdays and DY projects on Fridays. Thank you for watching. Please leave me a comment and let me know if you are interested in other holiday drinks and cocktail recipes, and I look forward to seeing you next week with a new video recipe.
