Hawaiian Wedding Cake
Hawaiian Wedding Cake starts with a simple cake mix. Add a splash of coconut and pineapple and it becomes a refreshing cake that tastes like a piña colada.
Recipe:
Hawaiian Dream Cake ????????????// easy summer dessert // pineapple coconut cake
This cake is so good! I definitely recommend trying it if you like pineapple. I got the recipe from the Taste of Home magazine June/July 2023 issue.
Recipe:
1 20oz can crushed pineapple, 1 package yellow cake mix, 3 large eggs, 1/2 cup canola oil, 1/4 cup water, 8oz package cream cheese, 1 cup 2% milk, 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix, 1 8oz container whipped topping, 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, 1/3 cup coconut flakes.
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Drain pineapple and reserve 1 cup juice, set aside
In a large bowl combine cake mix, eggs, oil, water, and 1 cup reserved juice. Beat on low 30 seconds and then beat on medium for 2 minutes. Transfer to a 15x10x1 baking pan.
2. Bake until toothpick comes out clean about 15-18 minutes. Cool completely on wire rack. (I just use a regular baking dish and kept everything in that but I did have to bake the cake for 30 minutes).
3. In a large bowl beat cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually beat in milk and pudding mix until blended. Fold in reserved pineapple. Spread over cake. Top with whipped topping. Sprinkle with coconut and walnuts. Store in refrigerator.
