How To make Gravy Soup
6 tb Chicken fat
or butter
6 tb Flour
5 c Chicken stock
Salt and pepper to taste Croutons 4 tb Gruyere cheese :
grated
Melt the chicken fat in a large saucepan over low heat. Add the flour, blend well and cook until the flour is lightly browned, stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon. Gradually stir in the stock and continue stirring until it boils. Lower the heat and simmer, covered, about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season the soup with salt and pepper and pour it into 5 heated bowls. Top them with croutons, sprinkle with
the cheese, and serve. This is a good winter soup, and is a specialty of the Basel area in Switzerland. Although this version is made with chicken fat and stock, it can also be made with ham or bacon fat and ham stock. If you decide to do that, though, take it easy on adding salt.

For The Chicken Marinade:
1 Tsp Curry Powder
1 Tsp Thyme
1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
Salt to taste
Main Ingredients:
10 Cut Pieces of Chicken
1 Green, Red, Orange Bell Pepper, chopped
1-2 Scotch Bonnet Chopped
Chopped Onions
2 Tablespoons Corn flour/ Corn Starch or Plain Flour
3 Cloves Garlic Minced
1 Tbsp Minced Ginger
1 Tbsp Chicken Seasoning
2 Tbsp Curry Powder
1 Tbsp Dried Thyme or 5 Sprigs Fresh Thyme

Ingredients:
2-3 tbsp butter ( unsalted )
5 tbsp all purpse flour
1 chicken broth cube
1 beef broth cube
2 1/4 to 2 1/2 cup boiling water
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
Procedure
* Dissolve chicken and beef bouillon cube in hot water, set aside
* Melt butter in a pan, over low heat
* Add half of the flour, stirring constantly then add the rest
* Cook until color of the flour turns to medium brown
* Gradually add the chicken and beef stock continue whisking until it’s completely incorporated
Make sure there were no lumps remain ( much better to use wire whisk )
* Add ground black pepper
* Bring gravy to a boil, simmer for a few minutes until gravy reaches the consistency you prefer, takes 3-5 minutes
* Share and Enjoy!
Tips: Gravy thicken as it cools so keep your gravy warm, You can transfer it in a small thermos
to keep it hot and pourable before serving..
How to fix gravy?
* If gravy is too thick, just add water continue whisking then let it simmer
* If it’s too thin, simmer for a few minutes until gravy reduces and thicken
* If there are lumps, strain the gravy after cooking

Thanks for watching! In this video I'm showing you how easy it is to make brown gravy.
✨First you want to make the roux and season it.
✨Add your broth/stock.
✨Then add the other ingredients.
????Tips????
The flavor of your gravy will be determined by the BROTH/STOCK. Use high quality ingredients for best results! Cook your roux long enough to get rid of the flour taste. It should also turn brown.
This wasn't stated in the video, but I recommend that you taste your broth/stock before using it! In the video I used a brand called Simple Truth beef broth (which was very weak). NOW I USE SWANSON BEEF BROTH WHICH IS THE BEST! So if your broth tastes weak, then you can add a little chicken or beef bouillon powder to kick up the flavor.
ALWAYS taste as you go and build the flavor of your gravy to your desired preference. Add a dash of salt LAST.
