Domaine De Canton French Ginger Liqueur Review
The Whiskey Crusaders review Domaine De Canton French Ginger Liqueur which comes in at 56 proof. This is the world’s first ginger liqueur which is made with baby ginger hand cut, rinsed, and allowed to dry for several days, Tahitian Vanilla Bean, provincial honey then it is sent to the St. Dalfour Distillery in France where it is where it is macerated with clear distillate called eau de vie know as the water of life. Then it is added to French Cognac distilled in the Aquataine region of southeast France. There are no additives, colors, or preservatives so each batch has slight color variation.
A liqueur is an alcoholic drink made up of a distilled spirit and adding sugar, fruits, herbs or spices. They are often served neat, over, ice, in coffee, for dessert, but were originally medicines made by monks starting in the 13th century.

How to make Ginger Liquor
In this video, I show you a quick and easy way to make ginger liquor.
Ginger Liquor Recipe:
2oz Ginger (peeled and chopped)
1 1/2 cups of water
1/2 cup Orange Juice
1 1/2 cups of Brandy
1 cup of Sugar
2 tsp of Vanilla Extract
Blend ginger and water until ginger is thoroughly pulverized then combine rest of ingredients and blend. Let rest overnight in refrigerator.

PENICILLIN COCKTAIL RECIPE - Whisky, Ginger, Citrus and Honey!
The Penicillin is a modern classic cocktail created by Australian-born bartender, Sam Ross. Sam has made many well-known cocktails whilst spending his time behind the bar at infamous NY cocktail bars such as Milk & Honey, Pegu Club and Attaboy.
The Penicillin combines smoky flavours with sweet honey and spicy ginger.

INGREDIENTS
- 60mL Blended Scotch Whisky (2 oz)
- 22.5mL Fresh Lemon Juice (¾ oz)
- 22.5mL Honey-Ginger Syrup (¾ oz)
- 7.5mL Islay Whisky (¼ oz)
METHOD
1. Combine the blend whisky, lemon juice and syrup in a cocktail shaker
2. Shake with ice
3. Strain over fresh ice into an old fashioned glass
4. Float the Islay Whisky
5. Garnish with skewered, candied ginger

In this video I show you Jeff Morganthaler's approach to making Ginger Syrup. Before I learned this method making Ginger Syrup has always been a huge pain. Ginger is not so easily juiced so the previous methods I used made it such a chore. But this elegant method is so easy it only takes a few minutes to complete and you are left with incredible Ginger Syrup so definitely give it a try!

Equipment:
• 2 maison jars
Ingredients for Limoncello:
• Zest 6 lemons
• ¾ cup sugar
• 500 mls vodka
Ingredients for Rhubarb & Ginger Gin
• 250g rhubarb
• 25g ginger
• Zest 1 orange
• 125g sugar
• 500mls gin
If you’d like to make more than quantity above just multiply all quantities but keep ratios the same.

Simple GINGER LIQUEUR Recipe
I love making homemade liqueurs! But mainly it's because I have such a poor selection of liqueurs available here in Ontario Canada so I have to resort to making it myself.
Here is my recipe for Spicy Ginger Liqueur. It's not overly sweet but packs a ginger punch! Great addition to any ginger cocktail!
Wether you can find ginger liqueur or not, I highly recommend you try making this liqueur at home.

Simple Ginger Liqueur Recipe:
3 - 4 oz Ginger Root (Peeled and Sliced)
1 Vanilla Bean
1.5 cups Water
3/4 cup White Sugar
Zest of 1 Orange
1 cup Brandy
1/2 cup Overproof Vodka
Steps and Instructions for how to make Ginger Liqueur at home:
1. Peel and Chop Ginger
2. Split Vanilla Bean
3. Bring Water, Sugar, Ginger and Vanilla to a boil and simmer for 20 min.
4. Once cooled, add to a mason jar.
5. Add Orange Zest, Brandy and Vodka
6. Infuse for 1 day
7. Remove Vanilla Bean
8. Infuse 1 more day
9. Strain through coffee filter
10. Taste and adjust sugar (add simple syrup if necessary)
11. Infuse 1 more day
12. Strain again into final bottle
Penicillin Cocktail with Ginger Liqueur
1.5 oz Blended Scotch
1/2 oz Ginger Liqueur
1/2 oz Honey Syrup (3:1)
3/4 oz Lemon Juice
1/4 oz Islay Single Malt Scotch Float
