Wicked Witch Halloween Tart Recipe | Sweet Tarts
Now Playing- Popular - Wicked! I recently discovered a new song that I can play over and over. It is from the Broadway musical Wicked; Popular. Defying Gravity is awesome, but Popular is so catchy. Halloween will be here in no time and I just love my green avocado, banana filling; it is perfect timing to make a Wicked Witch Halloween Tart.

Wicked Witch Halloween Tart Recipe
Make one 9 inch tart
Ingredients:
(crust)
1 1/2 cup old fashion oats
4 pitted dates
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
3 tablespoons Earth Balance (non-dairy butter)
1/4 cup water
(fillings)
1 avocado
1 banana
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
(topping)
20 grapes
1 cup raisins
4 raspberries
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Grind 1/2 cup old fashion oats into flour using a food processor.
Process pitted dates with oat flour until small pieces form.
Add salt, cinnamon, coconut oil, remaining oats, and water to the food processor and pulse to combine (but not grind).
Spread the oatmeal mixture over the bottom and sides of a 9 inch tart pan.
Bake for 15 minutes. It should appear browned and dry.
Allow to cool before filling.
Puree the meat of one avocado, the meat of one banana and vanilla extract in the food processor to make the green filling.
Spread the filling over the tart crust.
Cut all the grape in half length wise.
Use the grapes to form the shape of the Wicked Witch hat.
Google: Wicked for playbill reference.
Use the grapes to outline the face of the Witch and to create her hair and clothing. You can get creative with this part.
Smash up the raspberries in a bowl with a fork.
Create the Witch's lips using the raspberries, but try to leave the liquid in the bowl or else her lips will run really bad.
Eat up!

About Heart of Tarts:
Tasha loves decorating cakes, cupcakes, and cookies as much as the next Baking Belle, but with a focus on health, she could never fully indulge in her desires. Then it came to her; she could rid herself of sugar-lovers guilt if she learned how to bake and decorate with whole fruits and vegetables. Ta-Da! Heart of Tarts was born to heal the world. (Okay, that is a little ambitious. But, a girl can dream). Tasha: Southern Belle, Whole Fruit Baker, Master of Public Health, Food Stylist, Photographer, Videographer, Writer, Recipe Developer . . .
