How To make Fudge Cupcakes
1 cup boiling water
1 cup dates
1 teaspoon soda
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
4 tablespoons cocoa
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup nuts
1 6 ounces bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
Pour boiling water over 1 cup cut dates and the soda. Add sugar, shortening, egg (slightly beaten) and vanilla. Mix flour, cocoa, salt, nuts and chocolate chips into mixture. Fill cupcake tins or papers about 2/3 full. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 24 minutes. Makes 20 to 24 cupcakes. Frost, if desired.

Ingredients:
For the cake batter
30g / 1oz Cocoa (unsweetened)
1 X-large (or large) egg
120g / 4oz self raising flour (or you can use plain / all purpose flour and add 1tsp baking powder as a rising agent)
120g / 4oz superfine (caster) sugar
65g / 2.5oz butter (I used salted but you can use unsalted and add a pinch of salt)
1 good tablespoon of Nutella
1/2 tsp vanilla
2tbsp oil (olive or vegetable are best but any will do)
1/3 cup water
PLUS additional Nutella to fill the cakes with :)
For the Ganache
100g / 3.5oz dark chocolate
50ml / 2oz cream (whipping cream or pouring cream are fine here)
For the frosting:
300g / 11oz powdered sugar
100g / 3 3/4oz butter (I used salted but you can use unsalted and add a pinch of salt)
1tsp vanilla essence
2tbsp Nutella

1/2 cup butter

For the Fudge Frosting
1/2 cup butter
1/3 cup milk
3 cups icing sugar
2 teaspoon vanilla essence
1/4 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup cocoa powder

BEST CHOCOLATE FUDGE FROSTING you will ever make! ???? | 2 ways to use Chocolate Fudge Frosting ????
If you are looking for a super easy beginner friendly frosting for your cakes and cupcakes, look no further!
This is my Go-To Dark Chocolate Fudge Frosting and when I used this on a Chocolate Cake Video on my YouTube 2 years ago, you guys absolutely loved it!
So, I thought it deserved a video of its own and this time with a variation! I present to you my EPIC Dark Chocolate Fudge Frosting with 2 super indulgent variations!
✅Recipe (Perfect to Pipe 12 Cupcakes or a 6-inch layer cake of 2 layers):
????200 grams Fresh Cream (25% Fat minimum)
????200 grams Dark Chocolate
????100 grams sweetened condensed milk
????100 grams salted butter
????1/2 teaspoon Instant Coffee Powder
????Pinch of Sea Salt
Process:
????Add all the ingredients to a saucepan.
????Start heating on medium heat until everything melts
????Reduce heat to Low and continue cooking for 3-4 minutes stirring continuously so the fudge sauce doesn’t catch at the bottom of saucepan. I’d recommend using a non-stick pan for this
????Transfer to a bowl and refrigerate until it’s completely chilled.
????Transfer to a piping bag and pipe swirls or use it as a surprise filling for cupcakes when at room temperature
✅The above is your standard Dark Chocolate Fudge Frosting
✅Variation 2:
????Once your Fudge frosting has chilled thoroughly, whip on a high speed for 3 minutes. It becomes light, fluffy and pipes beautifully on cakes and cupcakes!
Only downside: It is not stable and will keep its shape if piped for about 30 minutes - 1 hour at room temperature and will need refrigeration.
However, works beautifully on layer cakes to give it a rustic look!
