Irresistible Buñuelos de Viento: A Holiday Baking Must-Try! ???? #Shorts
Wind Fritters also known as Buñuelos de Viento are crispy, airy, fritters covered in sugar that are very popular during Christmas time in Mexico. Here's a simple recipe for you to try:
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch salt
2 large eggs
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
Oil for frying (I used peanut oil)
Sugar and cinnamon for dusting
Food coloring of your choice (red, green)
Rosette mold (or buñuelera)/Iron mold
Blend all the wet ingredients and gradually add the mixture to the flour, beating with a whisk until you have a very uniform and smooth batter. The texture/ batter should be thin and runny, resembling pancake batter.
Allow the dough to rest for about 10-20 minutes. This helps it firm up a bit.
Preheat a deep frying pan filled with oil. Once your oil reaches 350 degrees, place your rosette iron in the oil for about 15 seconds to 1 minute. Meanwhile, get a plate, whisk together the sugar, and cinnamon then set aside.
Gently shake off excess oil and/or press onto clean paper towels to remove excess oil. Carefully dip the hot mold into the batter( repeat this step for every buñuelo).
Take your rosette out of the oil and carefully dip your rosette halfway into the batter. If you completely submerge the rosette into the batter, the buñuelo will enclose your iron once you dip it into the oil and won't release). Your Rosette/iron needs to be hot enough so that when you dip it into the batter, it sizzles.
Place the rosette back into the oil and gently shake until the buñelo releases into the oil. Fry for 10-15 seconds to a minute then flip over and fry another 10-15 seconds to a minute or less until the buñelo is golden and crispy carefully transfer it to the sugar mixture right away or transfer buñuelo to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil then toss until coated with sugar.
Place on a large tray and repeat until all batter has been used.
Tips: Try to keep the metal mold in the hot oil as much as you can in between preparing the buñuelos.
Drying the mold: After you heat the mold in the hot oil, be sure to tap it dry on clean paper towels or a clean kitchen towel. If you don’t, it will be too oily to pick up the batter.
Releasing the buñuelo from the mold: After frying for 10 to 15 seconds, the buñuelo should slip off of the mold into the oil. If it sticks a little, you can use a fork or toothpick to help it detach.

Disney Beignets Recipe | DIY Disney Recipes #3
Chloe’s back! And today we’re bringing you another copycat Disney recipe, this time we’re trying out a Disney Beignets recipe from the old trusty Disney cookbook. Mickey Beignets are an absolute classic Disney snack, and I’ve just found out they’re doing a Cookies & Creme Haunted Mansion Disney beignet for Mickey’s Not So Scary Party that happens at Halloween (and is apparently already on?!).

Ingredients list:
350ml warm water
100g sugar
1 pack of dried yeast
2 large eggs
1 1/4 tsp salt
1 tin evaporated milk (vegan alternative)
840g flour
50g shortening
Oil for frying
Icing sugar to dust
Disney Beignets Recipe
The first step is to stir together your warm water with the sugar and yeast to let the yeast activate - it should get all bubbly and frothy over about 10 minutes while you get on with the next steps.
Now crack the eggs into a bowl with the salt and whisk together, then mix in the evaporated milk - we used a vegan version here for Chloe, but you could use whichever kind you like! Finally mix the watery frothy yeast mixture into this bowl.
Then it’s time for the flour and the shortening - this is dairy free in itself so you don’t need to worry here. Half of the flour (we used strong white bread flour) goes in to mix it up to start with, then in with the rest afterwards.
Now get kneading! You can use a dough hook on your mixer or do it by hand, but it’ll take a lot longer this way! Once that’s all nice and smooth, transfer it into a greased bowl and leave to rise for 3 hours at room temperature.
Then get shaping! We didn’t just go for Mickeys here, check out some of the other shapes and techniques we used to get them in the video. You can either drop them into hot oil at about 350F (180C) or air fryer them like we did until golden brown.
The final touch is a sprinkle of pixie dust…um, icing sugar, and they’re ready to eat.
