How To make Fried Cornmeal Mush with Tomato Gravy
1 1/4 c Stone ground yellow cornmeal
1 c Cold water
3 c Hot water
1 t Salt
Vegetable oil for frying 1/4 c All-purpose flour
Flour for dredging In a small bowl, combine the cornmeal, salt, and flour. Gradually whisk the cold water into the mixture. Bring the hot water to a boil in a large saucepan over high heat and gradually whisk in the cornmeal mixture. Stir and whisk until it boils. Cover, lower heat, and simmer for 5 minutes. The mixture will be very thick. Pour into an oiled 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan and refrigerate overnight. The next day, cut the loaf into 1/2 inch slices. In a skillet, heat 2 teaspoons of oil or bacon fat. Dredge 3 or 4 slices in the flour and fry them over low heat
until golden brown on both sides. Continue to cook remaining mush, adding oil to the skillet as needed. Serve with either maple syrup or Tomato Gravy and plan on 3 to 4 slices per person. From: Cooking from Quilt Country (Amish and Mennonite, Indiana) Shared By: Pat Stockett

DELICIOUS CORN MEAL GRAVY | Richard in the kitchen
In this video I show y'all how to make delicious corn meal gravy. If you've never tried this creamy comfort food you got to give it a try. It's easy to make and can be served over many of your favorite foods. This recipe is made with bacon grease, corn meal, evaporated milk and water. That's all you need for a tasty gravy.
Shopping List:
1 tbsp. bacon grease
1/4 cup corn meal
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup evaporated milk
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Add the water to the evaporated milk in a cup.
Heat your skillet on medium heat then add the bacon grease and allow to melt. Then add the corn meal and constantly stir until thoroughly blended and all the lumps are gone and the mixture forms a roux. Gradually and slowly stir in the milk while constantly stirring. If it's too thick gradually add more water or evaporated milk until you get the consistency you like. Bring to a low boil and add the salt and pepper. Remove from the heat. Gravy will thicken as it sits.
Serve over the biscuits and enjoy!

1 can of corn with 1 egg and your kids will be asking for this snack everyday
Ingredients and recipe:
Pour 1 can of corn in a colander
Crack 1 egg in the corn
Salt and black pepper
Add 1/3cup corn starch
Mix well
Pour olive oil in the pan
Add the corn mixture to the pan
Sprinkle 30g mozzarella cheese
Fry for 5 minutes on medium-low heat
Sprinkle green onion on top
Done!
