• Sift your 2 cups of flour into your mixing bowl (DO NOT PACK YOUR FLOUR WHEN MEASURING)
• Add your heavy whipping cream
• Mix flour and whipping cream until flour is moistened (You can use a mixing spoon or your hands)
• Place wax paper on a table or counter
• Add some flour to wax paper so flour doesn't stick to wax paper
• Knead and fold your dough until you are ready to begin cutting out your biscuits (DO NOT OVER WORK YOUR DOUGH) (DOUGH WILL BE STICKY - THIS IS OKAY!)
• Roll or pat out your biscuit dough to your desired cutting thickness
• Use a cup or biscuit cutter to cut out your biscuits
• Place cut out biscuits in/on your baking pan so they are touching each other (This helps them to rise, instead of spreading out and becoming flat)

• Serve immediately or until you're ready to eat
ENJOY!

Old fashioned buttermilk biscuits:
1 1/4 cup buttermilk *see instructions on how to make your own buttermilk
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) salted butter (freeze for 30 minutes)
3 cups all purpose flour
4 tsp. baking powder
2 TBSP. white sugar
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
* if making your own buttermilk, add 2 TBSP. white vinegar into a measuring cup add milk to equal 2 cups. Stir and set aside. In a large bowl stir together the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and cream of tartar. Set aside. Grate partially frozen butter, then add to the dry ingredients. Using a pastry blender or fork, mix the grated butter into the mixture. Make a hole in the center of the dry ingredients then add the buttermilk and mix with a fork just until moistened.
Knead dough lightly on floured surface 5-6 times until it is no longer sticky. Flatten out, then fold mixture over itself. Flatten out again and fold over repeating one more time for a total of 3 times. This will create the layers in your biscuits. Pat the dough into a large rectangle that is 3/4 inch thick. Cut the dough into 12 squares. Place dough 1 inch apart on a ungreased cookie sheet and place into a freezer for 30 minutes.
Take dough out of freezer and place in a pre-heated 450 degree oven for 14-16 minutes or until light golden brown on the tops. Remove biscuits from baking sheet and serve immediately! ENJOY!

Flaky Mile High Biscuits
RECIPE:
Flaky Mile High Biscuits - Is there anything better than warm, hot-out-of-the-oven, mile high, flaky biscuits that just melts in your mouth? No, right? Because these are truly the best biscuits you will ever make right at home!
INGREDIENTS:
4 cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup unsalted butter, cut into cubes
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Add cold butter, using your fingers to work the butter into the dry ingredients until it resembles coarse crumbs. Add buttermilk and stir using a rubber spatula until a soft dough forms.
3. Working on a lightly floured surface, knead the dough 3-4 times until it comes together. Using a rolling pin, roll the dough into a 1 1/4-inch thick rectangle. Cut out 10-12 rounds using a 2 1/2-inch biscuit or cookie cutter. Place biscuits onto the prepared baking sheet; place in the freezer for 15 minutes.
4. Remove biscuits from freezer and brush tops with butter. Place into oven and bake for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown.
5. Serve warm.
