Mulligatawny Soup Recipe:
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Cinnamon - 1 inch
Cloves - 2 nos
Cardamom (crushed) - 2 nos
Coriander Seeds (crushed) - 1 tsp
Onion (chopped) - 1 no
Green Chilli (chopped) - 1 no
Garlic (minced) - 1 tbsp
Ginger (minced) - 1 tbsp
Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
Cumin Powder - 1 tsp
Curry Leaves - 2 Sprigs
Potato (diced) (boiled) - 1 no
Masoor Dal (boiled) - 1 Cup
Water - 3 Cups
Tamarind Pulp - 1 tbsp
Lemon Juice - 1 tsp
Coconut Milk - 1 Cup
Coriander Leaves (chopped) - 2 tbsp
Salt - 1 tbsp
Cooking Instructions:
1. Heat ghee in a pot and add the whole spices followed by the onion, green chillies, curry leaves, ginger and garlic, Saute for 2 minutes.
2. Add the boiled dal and boiled potato.
3. Add the spice powders and salt.
4. Add 3 Cups of water and simmer for 5 minutes.
5. Use a hand blender and make a smooth soup base.
6. Add the tamarind pulp, lemon juice and simmer for 6 mins. Finish with the coconut milk and coriander leaves.
Cooking Tips:
1. Boil ½ dal in 1 ½ Cups of water for 3 whistles.
2. Boil the diced potatoes for 2 whistles.

DRUMSTICK AND DAL SOUP
Drumstick Soup is a delicious Indian recipe served as a Soups and Stews.
Ingredients:
Drumsticks (Cut the drumsticks into 3 inch long pieces) 4 Numbers
Carrots 2 Numbers
Garlic cloves 5 Numbers
Curry leaves 2 Springs
Fennel seeds 1/2 Teaspoons
Peppercorns 1/2 Teaspoons
Coriander stems 1 Bunch
Ginger (chopped) 1 Piece
Green chilli 3 Numbers
Tomatoes 4 Numbers
Dal water 2 Cup
Salt To taste
Directions:
Heat oil in a pan add drumstick pieces, carrot pieces, garlic cloves, curry leaves, fennel seeds, peppercorns, coriander stems cook it for 1 minute then add finely chopped ginger, chopped green chili, tomatoes and add some water and let it cook for 5 minutes. once the tomatoes and drumstick are cooked add water left over from boiling dal, coconut milk, salt boil it for 5 minutes. Remove the drumsticks, coriander stems, curry leaf strips from the soup. With the help of the hand blender make it into a paste, in this add drumstick pulp boil till the soup become thick. Serve hot.

Masoor Dal Soup | प्रोटीन से भरपूर मसूर दाल सूप | Healthy Soup | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana
A healthy, easy and delicious masoor dal soup is here to impress one and all. Serve hot and enjoy a homely bowl of nourishment.
MOONG AND COCONUT SOUP
Ingredients
1 cup split green gram (moong dal), soaked
1 cup coconut milk
1 medium onion, roughly chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
½ tsp black pepper powder
½ tsp red chilli powder
Salt to taste
2 large tomatoes, roughly chopped
Method
1. Heat a pressure cooker, add onion and garlic and roast for 2 minutes. Drain and add the split green gram, 2 cups water, black pepper powder, red chilli powder, salt and mix.
2. Add tomatoes, cover and cook under pressure till 2-3 whistles are given out.
3. Cool and put into a mixer jar and grind till smooth.
4. Pour back into the cooker, add coconut milk mix and bring it to a boil.
5. Pour into bowls and serve.

Ingredients
¼ cup split skinless green gram (dhuli moong dal), soaked for 3-4 hours and drained
¼ cup Bengal gram (chana dal), soaked for 3-4 hours and drained
2 tbsps whole black gram (sabut urad dal), soaked for 3-4 hours and drained
2 tbsps whole red lentil (sabut masoor), soaked for 3-4 hours and drained
¼ cup split skinless red lentil (dhuli masoor dal), soaked for 3-4 hours and drained
¼ cup pigeon peas (toor dal), soaked for 3-4 hours and drained
1 large onion, roughly chopped
1 medium tomato, roughly chopped
3-4 green chillies, slit
Salt to taste
½ tsp turmeric powder
A pinch of red chilli powder
Tempering
2 tbsps ghee
1½ tsps cumin seeds
1 inch ginger, finely chopped
5-6 garlic cloves, crushed
¼ tsp asafoetida (hing)
2-3 dried red chillies, broken
¼ cup chopped fresh coriander leaves
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander sprig for garnish
To serve
Steamed rice as required
Method
1. Heat a pressure cooker, add split skinless green gram, Bengal gram, whole black gram, whole red lentil, skinless red lentil, pigeon peas, onion, tomato, green chillies, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and 4 cups water. Cook for 3-4 whistles.
2. Open the cooker once the pressure has reduced completely.
3. To make the tempering, heat ghee in a non-stick pan.
4. Add cumin seeds and let them change colour. Add ginger, garlic, asafoetida, and dried red chillies and mix well.
5. Add coriander leaves and mix well. Add the cooked gram mixture, mix and add 1 cup water and adjust salt, mix well and cook for 1 minute.
6. Garnish with coriander sprig and serve hot with steamed rice.
