Quick soak Vegan Air Fryer Falafel (gluten-free) made with just 6 ingredients, plus spices. Bake or air fry these healthy, protein-rich falafel. Meal prep them ahead of time for the week, or freeze for later use. They're perfectly crisp and crunchy on the outside, yet soft and moist on the inside.

LEARN HOW MAKE AN EASY FALAFEL RECIPE + TAHINI SAUCE AT HOME!
LAY HO MA! Crispy, tasty, and easy to make - this is a crowd pleaser for sure! Join me in this episode and learn how to make a batch of easy and gluten free falafel with a simple tahini sauce.
FALAFEL INGREDIENTS:
1 cup dried chickpeas
1/2 onion
3 pieces garlic
10g parsley
10g cilantro
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 tbsp coconut flour
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp potato starch
1 tsp salt
pepper to taste
1 1/2 cups avocado oil
DIPPING SAUCE INGREDIENTS:
1 piece garlic
3/4 cups tahini
5 tbsp lemon juice
parsley to garnish
Directions:
1. Prep the dried chickpeas overnight by placing one cup of them into a bowl. Cover with about 2.5 litres of water
2. Roughly chop the onion. Loose chop the parsley and cilantro
3. Strain out the chickpeas and add to the food processor. Add the garlic, onions, parsley, cilantro, cumin, baking soda, coconut flour, lemon juice, potato starch, salt, and pepper
4. Blend for about 45 seconds
5. Use an ice cream scoop to scoop out the mixture and shape them into balls (or whatever shape you desire). Repeat this step until you run out of mixture
6. Add the avocado oil to a frying pan. Heat up the oil on medium heat for a few minutes
7. Carefully fry the falafel for 2-3min on each side (fry in two batches). Place the cooked falafel onto a plate lined with paper towel to rest
8. Make the dipping sauce by grating the garlic into a small bowl. Add the tahini and lemon juice. Whisk until smooth and combined. Garnish with some chopped parsley

Can you believe that for only £5.00 we were given a wrap comprising of a Lebanese flatbread, which was filled with 5 pieces of freshly fried crispy falafel balls. We absolutely love down to earth, honest places like this.
FALAFEL RECIPE INGREDIENTS:
* Chickpeas (soaked for at least 15 hours)
* Leek
* Red Chillies
* Hot Green Chillies
* Fresh Parsley
* Fresh Coriander
* Garlic
* Onion
* Coriander Seeds
* Sesame Seeds
* Cumin Seeds
* Bicarbonate of Soda
* Homemade Falafel Spice Mix (The following dry spice powders mix can be used: Coriander Powder, Allspice, Marjoram, Basil Powder, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Caraway Seeds, Fennel, Cumin, Cinnamon,)
* Salt
* Cold Water

What's the BEST Falafel Recipe?
Falafels are a Middle Eastern specialty consisting of small, fried croquettes or balls made from chickpeas. Spices, onions, and parsley. They are commonly served as an appetizer or inside pita bread with garlic or tahini sauce. The best part about falafel is that they are simple to make.
Falafel ingredients and flavors will differ depending on what country you are in and who is making it. For example, in Egypt, fava beans are used instead of chickpeas. However, there are also Governorates in Lebanon that use a combination of both garbanzo beans and fava beans. I loved the flavors for this recipe using both beans, but you can use just 1 or the other if that is all you have access to.

Ingredients for this recipe:
• 1 ½ dry garbanzo beans
• 1 ½ dry shelled and split fava beans
• 1 medium-sized peeled and roughly chopped yellow onion
• 5 trimmed garlic cloves
• ½ bunch roughly chopped green onions, root end trimmed
• 1 medium-packed cup flat leaf Italian parsley leaves
• ½ medium-packed cup cilantro leaves
• 2 teaspoons ground cumin
• 1 teaspoon ground coriander
• 1 tablespoon sea salt
• ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
• neutral flavored oil for frying
