How To make Double Decker Burgers
2 lb ground beef
1/4 c onion
finely chopped
2 eggs :
beaten
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 1/2 c cheddar cheese shredded
3 tbsp mayonnaise
4 tsp dill pickle relish
4 tsp prepared mustard
shredded lettuce 6 onion slices
6 hamburger buns :
split
6 tomato slices
In a large bowl, combine the first six ingredients; mix well. Shape into 12 thin patties. Broil 4 inches from the heat for 7-8 minutes on each side or until no longer pink. In a small bowl, combine cheese, mayonnaise, mustard and relish; mix well. Sp oon 2 tablespoons on each burger. Return to the broiler just until cheese softens. Place lettuce and onion on bottom of buns; top each with two burgers, tomato and top of bun.

Double Decker Burger:
Ingredients
Beef mince ½ kg
Sautéed onion 2
Olive oil 1 tbsp
Salt ½ tsp
Black pepper ½ tsp
Mustard paste ½ tsp heaped
Soaked bread slices 2
Egg ½
Paprika ¼ tsp
Oregano ¼ tsp
Thyme ¼ tsp
Other ingredients
Burger buns 6
Lettuce leaves as required
Tomato slices as required
Cucumber slices as required
Cheese slices 4
French fries to serve
Oil for frying
Coleslaw salad to serve
Olive oil ½ cup
Olive oil for grilling
Butter to spread on buns
Mayonnaise to spread on buns
Method for patty
• Marinate mince with all the given ingredients.
• Chop and mix all these ingredients together.
• Then make medium sized balls.
• Flatten these into a patty.
• Grill in a grill pan on low heat for about 8-10 minutes.
To serve
• Heat burger buns, spread butter and mayonnaise on the buns.
• Place lettuce on bun, slice of tomato, fried patty, top with second piece of bun, place lettuce on it, slices of cucumber, another patty, cheese slice and top it off with final piece of bun.
• Place stick in center, serve with fries and coleslaw salad on the side.
