How To make Diane's Sugar Cookies
3 1/2 c Sifted flour
2 1/2 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt
1 1/2 Cubes sweet butter (6 oz)
2 ts Vanilla
1 1/2 c Granulated sugar
2 Eggs
1 tb Milk
2 tb Sour cream
1 Lemon; grated rind only
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Cream butter, sugar, sour cream, lemon peel and beat well. Add eggs, one at a time, and then milk. Gradually, add the sifted dry ingredients, scraping the bowl as necesary with a rubber spatula and beating only until thoroughly mixed. Divide dough into 2 halves. Wrap each atch with foil or plastic wrap and chill in refirgerator for 3 hours or longer. Do not place dough in freezer. Preheat oven to 400~. Place one batch of dough on lightly floured pastry cloth. Turn dough to flour all sides and roll out to desired thickness. For very large cookies, 1/4-inch. Cut the cookeis as you wish. Transfer cooies to ungreased cookie sheets. If cookies are large and thick, place at least 2 inches apart. Sprinkle the tops of the cookies generously with granulated sugar. Bake until the cookies are lightly browned. Large, thick cookies will need to bake for 10-12 minutes. Transfer cookies to racks for cooling. -----

2 large eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1 cup granulated sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, 1 3/4 cup sifted flour. Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla till mixture forms a ribbon off beaters. Add baking powder and flour till blended. Use rounded Tablespoon for cookie. Space 1- 1/2 inches apart on lightly sprayed pan. Bake 375 for 11 minutes Yields 24 cookies These cookies are great with coffee tea or use them as ice cream wafers.

3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/ 2 teaspoons baking powder
Scant 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 sticks of butter
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
2 eggs room temperature
1 Tablespoon milk
Additional granulated sugar for topping
Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt mix in bowl set aside
Beat butter in large bowl add vanilla and sugar beat well
Beat in eggs one at a time and then add milk
On low slowly combine dry ingredients till a combined and smooth
Divide dough in half and chill for 3 hours or overnight
Roll dough out to 1/4- 1/2 inch thickness and cut desired shapes on a ungreased cookie sheet
You can make them any thickness you want
Bake at 400 for 10-12 minutes space 1 1/2 inches apart Make 20 4inch cookies

These are so easy to make, and they bake up delicious...
Make these cookies with any cookie cutters for any occasion.
1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs room temperature
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Beat butter with sugar till creamed add vanilla
Slowly add all dry ingredients till it forms a cookie dough ball
Optional chill cookie dough for 20-30 minutes
Roll out with a little flour 1/4 inch thickness.
Use whatever cookie cutter you want...
Place cookies 2 apart on a ungreased pan
Beat 1 egg white in a bowl brush cookie with egg white sprinkle colored sugar or jimmies on tops.
Bake at 350 for 15 minutes place hot cookies on cooling rack.
Optional dip or spread melted candy melt or melted chocolate on sides of cookies and dip in colored sugar or jimmies.
Make 2 dozen heart cookies as shown smaller cookies up to 4 - 5 dozen depending on size/

Easy Sugar Cookie to make no rolling pins necessary or cookie cutters....
1 cup granulated sugar, 1 cup powder sugar, 1 cup butter softened, 3/4 cup oil, 2 Tablespoons milk, 1 Tablespoon vanilla, 2 eggs, 4 1/4 cup all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon cream of tartar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, ( 1/2 ) cup granulated sugar reserve for rolling cookie in .
Beat granulated sugar, powder sugar, butter, oil, milk, and eggs in large bowl. put remaining ingredients flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, salt except the 1/2 cup sugar for rolling cookie. Bake at 350 for 13-17 minutes. Check cookies at 12 minutes or so. Shape into golf-ball size and roll in granulated sugar or colored sugars . Place 3 inches apart on cookie sheet. (Ungreased Pan) Press bottom of glass on each ball to flatten about 1/4 inch. For extra sweetness you can sprinkle sugar over tops of cookies before baking. Yields 3 dz. ( Sorry made an error on video use 1 Tablespoon of vanilla)
