Shack Burger and Crinkle Cut Fries
200 gr. (0,4 lb.) coarse ground beef, preferably rib or plate
4 slices American cheese
1 tomato
2 lettuce leaves
2 burger buns (or potato buns)
2 large potatoes (0,5 kg/1,1 lbs)
1 tablespoon butter
Sea or rock salt
Blackpepper
Shack Sauce
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
½ teaspoon mustard
3 cloves of garlic
½ teaspoon hot paprika
2 tablespoons pickle juice
3 pinches of garlic powder
2 pinches of granulated sugar
- Add sunflower oil in a pot and turn on the heat for fries. Put your iron cast on medium heat for your burger patties.
- Peel 2 large potatoes and slice them to your desire. If you use a crinkle cutter your fries will look the same as Shake Shack’s. If you don’t have one, you can slice them and make regular fries.
- When the oil is hot enough, place the potatoes in the pot. In order to see if the oil is ready, put a wooden spoon or knife in to the pot. When you see bubbles coming out of the wood, it is ready to add the potatoes.
- While potatoes are frying you are ready to make shack sauce. In a bowl put 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise, 1/2 teaspoon of mustard, ½ teaspoon of hot paprika, 2 tablespoons of pickle juice, 3 pinches of garlic powder and 2 pinches of granulated sugar. Crush 3 garlic cloves and add them into the bowl. Mix them well, and your shack sauce is ready.
- For the patties, you need fatty and single grinded ground beef. Ribs or plate will be perfect. Ask your butcher to give you especially fatty parts. Make sure the meat is coarse enough after the grind to see the meat and fat chunks. This is especially important to have a juicier therefore tastier patty.
-Divide your meat into 2 balls. First, sprinkle salt and pepper on your cast iron, then place your meatballs on it.
- Then grab a metal spatula flatten the balls. Pressing on the spatula with a spoon’s handle as leverage will help flatten the patty. You can also use a smaller pan’s bottom to same effect.
- You need to keep cooking until the bottom of the patties turns a bit crisp. It is going to take a couple of minutes. Sprinkle some more salt and pepper on patties and flip.
-Place 2 slices of American cheese for each patty and cover them with metal bowl to melt cheese quicker.
-While patties are getting cooked, cut your burger buns in half. Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the pan and roast your bread.
- When your buns absorb all the buttery and meaty flavors, take them out from the pan. Spread sauce on the bottom halves.
-Place your patties onto buns and put 1 leave of lettuce for each burger.
-Thinly slice 1 tomato and place 2 slices on each burger. Spread more sauce on the top halves of the buns and put them over your patties.
- Fries will be ready when they are golden. Remove them from the fryer and drain them on a few sheets of paper towel. Try not to crowd them on the towel otherwise they will get soft. Add salt to taste while they are hot.
-Your faster, cheaper and more delicious shack sauce, shack burgers and crinkle cut fries are ready in 20 minutes.

Sweet and Spicy Red Currant Chutney; try this on your burger!
Vegan Spinach & Feta Pie:
This sweet and spicy red currant chutney is a perfect way to make the most of nature's jewels! The weather in the UK may well be bleak at the moment, but at least it's provided great conditions for growing red currants; silver linings, and all that. The chutney is tangy, sticky and sweet, with lots of delicious spices, making it ideal for burgers, sausages, or even just cheese on toast. I had some on the remainder of the sweet potato gnocchi that I had in the freezer from last year; perfection. I'll also give you a few other options in case you can't get hold of the red currants.

Red Currant Chutney Ingredients:
2 tbl Extra Virgin Olive Oil
4 small Red Onions
1½ tsp Salt
4 cloves Garlic
2 tbl Grated Ginger
1 tsp Chili Flakes
400ml (1¼ cups) Apple Cider Vinegar + Boysenberry Vinegar Syrup
2 tsp Mustard Seeds
2 tsp Chinese Five Spice
1 tbl Pomegranate Molasses (you could possibly sub this with tamarind paste? But only do ½ tsp at a time and taste it)
200g (1 cup) Light Brown Soft Sugar (Do 280g if not using a sweetened vinegar)
400g (4 cups) Red Currants

Organic Turkey Waldorf Burger Recipe - low fat, extra juicy & tasty (with fitness model Eve Dawes)
Easy, juicy, low fat turkey burger recipe. Guilt free BBQ food is always a winner in my house! The secret to keeping these organic turkey Waldorf burgers from being dry and to stop ground turkey tasting like cardboard is the apples so don't skip these!
These turkey burgers are super quick and easy to make and a change from beef, as well as being better for your heart and waistline! PS: this was one of my 1st YouTube videos, so I apologize for the terrible lighting.
I prefer to use organic turkey to avoid hormones and to keep it as natural and healthy as possible.
To keep it low carb switch bread buns to lettuce leaves.
To keep it low fat, skip the cheese, avocado, mayonnaise, nuts or any additional fats. To make it Keto, have fun with those.
Feel free to modify with the herbs and spices you want. I don't use pepper in my cooking, purely because I'm allergic to it! I know...it's about the most inconvenient thing to be allergic to!
