Best Bone Broth Recipe EVER (& Easiest!) + Bone Broth Benefits!!
Here's ALL you need to know about bone broth and how to make the BEST DAMN BONE BROTH OF YOUR LIFE (that's also the EASIEST) to ensure you are giving your body what it needs to be healthy.
One of the most crucial foods for our health and well-being is bone broth (broth made by cooking meaty bones in a pot of water), and yet we've essentially removed it from our diet in the modern western world. Instead of nutritious and delicious, rich and beautiful bone broths and stocks, we use added and artificial flavorings made in a lab to add flavor to our packaged foods. Even if the box says all-natural, it's usually not.
We've lost all the amazing nutritional benefits of bone broth, benefits that are scientifically backed. So let me show you how to make the best ever bone broth and tell you why you need it in your life.
If you want to delve into this topic of bone broth and its benefits a bit more, go to my blog post to learn more!

Best Bone Broth Recipe:
Ingredients:
2 onions, chopped (if very large, use only 1)
3-4 pounds beef bones that have cartilage and some meat on them (i.e. knuckle bones, shank bones, oxtail, rib bones, femur bones)
1 tablespoon turmeric powder
1 tablespoon sea salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
1. Add all ingredients to a large pot (or pressure cooker) and add enough water to just cover the bones. Let it boil and once it boils, turn it off so you can skim any scum that may have surfaced. (This is optional but some believe it to be helpful in keeping the taste pure. Sometimes I do it and sometimes I don't. Totally up to you.)
2. If using pressure cooker like InstantPot, put it on the pressure cooker setting on high for 3 hours and allow the pressure to naturally release when it's done.
If using a regular pot over the stove, let it simmer for 12-16 hours.
If using a slow-cooker, let it simmer for 12-16 hours.
3. Strain the cooked broth to keep the liquid gold you've just made.

ABOUT ME!
Hi, I'm Lauren! I'm an actress and avid baker with an affinity for all things dessert-related. Don’t worry, I like savory things too. You can see me on TV shows like Modern Family, Scandal, NCIS: Los Angeles, and more. When I'm not doing Hollywood stuff, I'm snuggling with my dog and playing around in the kitchen. Some of my favorite things to eat are ice cream, kettle corn, and French fries. My idols include Martha Stewart (obviously) and Celine Dion, but I'll have to tackle singing on another show. Thanks for watching!

RECIPE...
Strawberry Kvass, a refreshing fermented beverage, carries with it a sense of time-honored tradition and a punch of bright, berry flavor. Originating from Eastern Europe, Kvass is typically made with rye bread or beets, but this strawberry variant brings in a sweet and tart profile that's perfect for those warmer days. Strawberries, those summer gems, are the star of this recipe. We're talking two pounds of these juicy red delights going into a brew that's nothing short of a fruit lover's dream. And it’s not just a wonderful beverage, it’s an experience. Watching the strawberries releasing their ruby-red juices, seeing the bubbles of fermentation, smelling that sweet aroma—it's all part of the journey.
Now let’s talk about the magic of fermentation. We've got sugar, the fuel for fermentation, dissolved into water, and then poured over the strawberries. It's as simple as that. And what follows next is the most beautiful thing: we stir the mixture thrice a day, getting in there, agitating everything, helping the fermentation along. Over 3 to 5 days, you’ll watch as the natural yeasts get to work, turning that sugar into slightly fizzy, deliciously tart kvass. It's a bit of patience, a dash of magic, and a whole lot of flavor payoff. Remember to pour yourself a glass, kick back, and relish the tangy, fruity goodness of your homemade kvass. Here's to the joy of fermentation and the simplicity of ingredients coming together to create something special.
P.S. Try this out with your favorite fresh fruit, too. I really dig strawberries and pineapple. Get creative. ???????? Adam
