How To make Crazy Cake 3
1 1/2 c Sifted flour
3 tb Cocoa
1 ts Soda
1 c Sugar
1/2 ts Salt
5 tb Cooking oil
1 tb Vinegar
1 ts Vanilla
1 c Water
Recipe by: I Hate to Cookbook by Peg Bracken Put your sifted flour back in the sifter, add to it the cocoa, soda, sugar, and salt, and sift this right into a greased square cake pan, about 9x9x2". Now you make 3 grooves in this dry mixture. Into one, pour the oil; into the next, the vinegar; into the next, the vanilla. Now pour the cold water over it all. You'll feel like you're making mud pies now, but beat it with a spoon until it's nearly smooth and you can't see the flour. Bake at 350 degrees for half and hour. -----

I'm sorry, apparently I lost the first part of this video, so please see the recipe below..
I saw this recipe surface again on Facebook in early 2014, making me come look to see what I thought.
This cake was just meh. It was okay but I wouldn't do it again. Three people tried it and... yeah, they agreed it was just meh.
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup water
1/3 cup vegetable oil (also seen as 5 Tbsp)
1 tablespoon white vinegar (I have seen this in other recipes as 1 tsp)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees .
Measure flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt into sifter; sift twice. Sift all into an ungreased 9'' square pan. (I have also seen to mix it in a GREASED pan)
Make three holes; put oil in one, vinegar in second and vanilla in third. Pour water over all. Mix with a fork until blended and batter is thin. Bake for 30 minutes, no more. Cake is so moist it doesn't need frosting.
The thing that attracted me to this cake is the fact it didn't need a frosting. it would have been miles better if it had frosting though. My sister and her kids do not enjoy frosting. But I couldn't entice them to try it because of the indentation in the cake hahaha Oh well.

Ingredients:
For the cake:
1½ cups (190g) All-purpose flour
1/4 cup (30g) Cocoa powder
1 teaspoon Baking soda
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1 cup (200g) Sugar
1/3 cup (80ml) Vegetable oil
1 cup (240ml) Water
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 tablespoon Vinegar or lemon juice
For the chocolate ganache:
2 tablespoons (30g) Coconut oil
1/3 cup (40g) Cocoa powder
1/3 cup (100g) Maple syrup/agave syrup
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F (180C). Grease a 8-inch (20cm) round cake pan and set aside.
2. In a large bowl, stir flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt and sugar.
3. Add water, oil, vinegar and vanilla extract. Stir until combined.
4. Pour the batter into prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool for 10 minutes, release from the pan, then let to cool to room temperature.
5. Make the frosting (optional): In a bowl stir coconut oil, maple syrup and vanilla extract. Add cocoa powder and whisk until combined and smooth.
6. Pour the glaze over the cake, spread evenly and refrigerate until set, about one hour.
Notes:
• The ganache is optional. You can serve the cake without the ganache and dust it with icing sugar.
• For extra rich flavour you can use coffee instead of water.
• Other options for chocolate ganache: coconut cream + dark chocolate. In a bowl place 100 grams chopped chocolate, pour 1/3 cup (80ml) hot coconut cream, let sit for 1-2 minutes, then stir and combined and smooth.
