Dark chocolate sauce (see re -ipe) In a bowl with a fork, stir together the crumbs and butter until the mixture is well combined. Pat the mixture onto the bottom and 1-inch up the sides of a lightly oiled 8-inch, 2-1/2-inch deep springform pan. Freeze crust for 30 minutes or until firm. Spread ice cream evenly on the crust and return to freezer for 30 minutes or until ice cream is firm. In a bowl with an electric mixer, beat cream with vanilla until it holds stiff peaks, fold in amaretti thoroughly and spread over ice cream. Smooth top of cake, sprinkle with almonds, and freeze cake for 30-45 minutes, or until top is firm. Freeze cake, covered with plastic wrap and foil, overnight. Just before serving, wrap a warm damp towel around the side of the pan, remove side of pan, and transfer cake to a serving plate. Cut into wedges with a knife dipped in hot water and serve it with the Dark Chocolate Sauce. a 1988 Gourmet Mag. favorite

Making Serendipity Friends Ice Cream - Central Perk Coffee Almond Fudge| Friends reunion
With the Friends Reunion out now and Serendipity releasing some VERY specific linked ice creams, it made sense to recreate their new flavour Central Perk Coffee Almond Fudge...damn what a long name!
I love Coffee ice cream and although the reviews for this online are sketchy, the combo of flavours is actually pretty EPIC. So why not grab the ingredients needed and make this yourself.
The description on their website is the most basic i've ever seen so made my version from scratch.
The Coffee Ice Cream Ingredients:
300 ml Whole milk
150 g Granulated sugar
1/4 Teaspoon salt
3-4 Tsp of Instant coffee
3 Egg yolks
300 ml Double (Heavy) cream
1 Tsp Vanilla extract
The Dairymilk Fudge Ingredients:
110g Dairymilk Chocolate
110g Butter
1 Egg
25g Sugar
Plus Dark Chocolate Covered Almonds. I used 50-75g.
This scoops really well once frozen, is really creamy with a real PUNCH of caffeine. You can sub the coffee for decaf if you want. This fudge doesn't work with every chocolate so if you use a different brand, you might need to adjust the recipe slightly.
