No bake cookies are one of the easiest cookie recipes you can make. They're a blend of 7 simple ingredients and no flour or eggs are needed! Just boil everything in a pot, scoop it out onto a baking sheet, and let it cool.
A combination of sugar, milk, butter, chocolate, oatmeal, almond butter and vanilla extract, they come together fast! No bake cookies are a classic and while they should be easy and foolproof, it seems many still run into issues when making them (i.e. too soft and gooey or too hard and crumbly). So today I'm not only sharing my delicious recipe, I'm sharing heaps of tips so that your cookies are NO FAIL and turn out perfectly. Check the full recipe post below for more tips as well!

Homemade Piping Bags
Some homemade chocolate chip recipes call for unsweetened baking chocolate. Many times these bars contain ingredients we may want to avoid.
Other recipes call for cocoa butter, which can be hard to find. So, is there an alternative?
Yes, there sure is! You probably have all the ingredients in your pantry right now, too… like cocoa powder.
Whether you make little chocolate chips or bigger chunks makes no difference, the recipes are the same. Both recipes are not overly sweetened so adjust to suit your tastes as needed.
These homemade chocolate chips are also great for the freezer. Make several batches and freeze to be well-prepared for the baking season!
Of course, this is assuming you’ll actually have some to store! They’re so delicious, they may get gobbled up right away.

Chocolate Sugar Cookies | Soft Dutch Cocoa Cookies Recipe
Soft Chocolate Sugar Cookies | Soft Dutch Cocoa Cookies Recipe
:: Cook Me Food ::
These irresistible sugar cookies are soft and full of rich chocolate flavor. They have a slightly fudgy center and a crusted crackly surface with a little crisp around the edges. Deeply chocolatey and ideally indulgent!
You’ll need:
• 1 2/3 cup (207g) all-purpose flour (*see notes below)
• 1 tsp baking soda
• ½ tsp salt
• ¼ tsp espresso/instant coffee powder (optional but recommended)
• 1/3 cup + ¼ cup (53g) cocoa powder (preferably dutch-processed)
• ¾ cup (168g) unsalted butter (room temperature)
• 1 ¼ cup (175g) light brown sugar
• 1 medium whole egg + 1 egg yolk (room temperature)
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• white sugar for coating (about 1/3 cup or 70g)
Makes 18 delicious cookies
* Using 2-inch cookie scoop in the video
Cool. Serve. Enjoy!
:: HELPFUL HINTS ::
* Don’t over bake these cookies. When you take them out from the oven, they should still be soft at the center. They will settle as they cool. Let them rest for 1 minute on the baking tray and transfer them in wire rack to finish cooling completely.
* Measure your flour and cocoa powder correctly. Adding too much flour or cocoa powder will result to dry and crumbly cookies when baked. Fluff your flour /cocoa powder with a spoon in the container, spooned it into your measuring cup until full, and use the back of the knife to level it off.
* For a more robust chocolate taste, you can use ground espresso instead of instant ground coffee. Or when using instant ground coffee you can use 1/2 tsp.
Happy baking!
