How To make Chocolate Red Beet Cake
2 1/2 c Beets, mashed, cooked 1 ts Salt
6 Eggs 1 tb Baking soda
3/4 c Cocoa 1/4 lb Margarine, softened
1 ts Vanilla 4 oz Cream cheese, softened
2 1/2 c Oil 1 Powdered sugar, sifted
3 3/4 c Flour, sifted 1/2 c Cocoa
3 3/4 c Sugar 1 ts Vanilla
Mix beets and eggs. In separate bowl. combine cocoa, vanilla and oil. Mix well. Add the sifted flour, sugar, salt and baking soda. Add to beet mixture. Mix well in larger bowl. Divide batter between two 9x13 pans, greased and floured. Bake at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool, frost in pans or cool 10 minutes after removal from pans. FROSTING: Combine all ingredients, except milk, in a large bowl. Beat until spreadable. Add milk, a little at a time, to give spreading consistency. -----

WARM WATER - 1/4 CUP + 2 TBSP
VANILLA ESSENCE - 1/2 TSP
FOR CHOCOLATE FROSTING :
FRESH CREAM - 75 GMS
SEMI SWEET BITTER CHOCOLATE - 100 GMS
MILK - 2 TBSP

Chocolate Beetroot Cake! A healthilicious chocolate cake made with wheat flour and beetroot is something you gotta try if you love some healthy baking! Ingredients:
Wholewheat flour(Atta) 1.5 cups
Unsweetened cocoa powder 1/4th Cup
Baking Powder 1tsp
Baking Soda 1/2 tsp
Grated beetroot 1/2 cup
Oil 1/4th cup plus 2 tbsp
Jaggery Powder 1 cup
Vanilla essence 1 /2 tsp
Milk 1/2 cup
Vinegar 1 tsp
Water 1/2 cup
Method:
1. Preheat the oven for 10 minutes under 180 degrees Celsius
2. Mix the vinegar with milk and keep aside for some time.
3. In a bowl sieve the wholewheat flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda. Keep it aside
4. In another bowl mix Oil and Jaggery Powder. Now add the milk(that was kept aside), water and vanilla essence .
5. Mix and add the grated beetroot
6. Using a spatula mix well and add the dry ingredients in batches .
7. Using the cut and fold method mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Pour the batter into a greased cake tin and bake for 30 minutes .
8. Remove, cool and enjoy with your cup of tea or coffee . You could also use any kind of frosting over the cake. A cream cheese frosting has been used as a glaze over the cake.
