Ready or not because here is the ultimate birthday cake for chess lovers... or just cool cake lovers in general! I have created a perfect looking and tasting chess cake that has the checkered pattern both inside and out. The alternating sponges are sesame and coconut as you can tell from the title, I just felt that the sesame colour would be more natural and resemble more of a chess board than chocolate. I am super proud of how this cake turned out, I actually made it for my brother's birthday because he loves chess! The cream cheese whipped cream is honestly out of this world. It pairs so well with the nuttiness of the sesame sponge and the coconut flavour. It ties everything together both in taste and as in the physical foundation of this cake. I personally love cakes that have a surprise on the inside as most people don't expect the insides of the cake to look as pretty or prettier than the exterior. I think once you cut into it, it will blow everyone away and the taste is definitely at the same level. I hope you call enjoy this video and thank you for watching!
