How To make Chocolate Cherry Valentine Torte
2 Eggs; separated
1 1/2 c Sugar; divided
1 1/4 c All-purpose flour
1/2 c HERSHEY'S Cocoa
3/4 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 c Vegetable oil
1 c Buttermilk or sour milk*
CREAM FILLING 1 c Cold whipping cream
2 tb Sugar
1 ts Vanilla extract
CHOCOLATE WHIPPED CREAM:
1/2 c Sugar
1/4 c HERSHEY'S Cocoa
1 c Cold whipping cream
1 ts Vanilla extract
1 cn (21 oz.) cherry pie filling
:
chilled 1. Heat oven to 350 F. Grease and flour three heart-shaped baking pans
or three 9-inch round baking pans.** 2. In small bowl, beat egg whites until foamy; gradually add 1/2 cup
sugar, beating until stiff peaks form. Set aside. 3. In large bowl, stir together flour, remaining 1 cup sugar, cocoa,
baking soda and salt. Add oil, buttermilk and egg yolks; beat until smooth. Gently fold egg whites into batter. 4. Pour about 1-2/3 cups batter into each prepared pan. Bake 18 to 20
minutes or until cake springs back when touched lightly in center. Cool 5 minutes; remove from pans to wire racks. Bake remaining layer, if
necessary. Cool 5 minutes; remove from pan to wire rack. Cool completely. 5. Prepare CREAM FILLING. Place 1 layer on serving plate; pipe or spoon
1-inch border 1/2 inch thick around outer edge of layer. Spread half of
pie filling in center. Top with second cake layer. Spread layer with half of remaining CREAM FILLING. Top with third layer. Spoon remaining pie filling on top of cake to within 1 inch of edge. 6. Prepare CHOCOLATE WHIPPED CREAM; frost sides of cake. Pipe top edge
with remaining CREAM FILLING. Refrigerate until serving time. Cover; store leftover torte in refrigerator. 8 to 10 servings. * To sour milk: Use 1 tablespoon white vinegar plus milk to equal 1 cup. ** If only two pans are available, reserve remaining batter in refrigerator for the third layer while first 2 layers bake. CREAM FILLING: In bowl, combine 1 cup (1/2 pt.) cold whipping cream with 2 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract; beat until stiff. CHOCOLATE WHIPPED CREAM: In bowl, combine 1/2 cup sugar and 1/4 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa. Add 1 cup (1/2 pt.) cold whipping cream and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract; beat on low speed to blend. Salt - 1 pinch
Lemon juice - 1/2 Tsp.
Whipping cream - 2 1/2 Cup

CHOCOLATE CHERRY CUPCAKE Recipe with Simple BUTTERCREAM CHERRY FROSTING ~ Valentine’s Day Recipe
A perfectly moist chocolate cherry cupcake with cherry buttercream is easily the perfect Valentine’s Day desert that the whole family can enjoy.
For the cupcakes- yields about 24 pieces
1 box DH Devils Food cake mix
4 eggs
1 pk chocolate fudge instant pudding mix
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup melted unsalted butter
1/4 cup hot prepared coffee
1/2 cup maraschino cherry liquid
1/2 cup half and half
24 pcs maraschino cherries
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp cherry extract
For the buttercream frosting
1 cup (2 Sticks) salted butter at room temp
2 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cherry extract
3-4 tsp maraschino cherry liquid
Red food coloring
Top with maraschino cherries
Notes: this recipe makes approximately 24 cupcakes. Mix cake batter as directed in the video and Bake @ 350 F for 25minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out dry.
Prepare the frosting as instructed. Allow cupcakes to cook down completely before frosting. Top with a maraschino cherry and Serve. Enjoy!

Jennifer Maring's Chocolate Glazed Cherry Nut Cake for Valentines Day. A Heart shaped cake that is sure to impress your sweetheart and your sweet tooth.
Valentines Day is very special to myself and Charles as our wedding fell on February 13th on a Valentines weekend. I thought it would be fun to share a little blast from the past. My mom was a baker growing up, so this time of year, as well as throughout wedding season our home was filled with the smell and tastes of delicious cakes. Back in the 80's and 90's prior to all of these crazy wedding cake flavors of today one of the favorites was a Cherry Nut Cake. I remember my mom giving me cake tops in my school lunch instead of a Hostess cake, so this brings back fond memories.
My Cherry Nut Cake recipe is quite a bit different from my moms, as I cheat a little using a Betty Crocker Cake Mix to make it go faster. However, I do add my own spin to it. I hope you will try this recipe for Valentines day as it's quick and easy to make, and is sure to impress both your sweetheart and your sweet tooth! Enjoy!!!

The best Valentine's Day cake! Cherry Chocolate Cake - Recipe in description
This cherry chocolate chip cake is decadent
without being too heavy. Juicy tart cherries in water are my preference, they allow the cake to remain fluffy and evenly moist. The ceramic cake mold gave the corners a nice crispness.
Mix together:
3 eggs
250 g flour
150 g softened unsalted butter
30 ml unsweetened vanilla almond milk
200 g sugar
1 tbsp vanilla extract
10 g baking soda
Add: 100 g of very small chocolate chips for a nice melt
Then add 350 g of drained tart cherries in syrup/ water
Bake 50-60 min at 350 degrees
Serve with powdered sugar
