1 lb Semi-sweet chocolate 1 lb Margarine 2 tb Powdered espresso =(not granulated) 1/4 c Kahlua 1/4 c Sugar 8 Eggs Melt margarine, espresso, Kahlua and sugar in double boiler or microwave. Add chocolate and stir until melted. Beat in eggs one at a time. Pour into 8" cake pan that has been prepared with a piece of waxed paper cut to fit into the bottom. Grease sides and wax papered bottom. Place in baking pan and pour hot water halfway up the sides of the cake pan. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes. Chill minimum of 8 hours, or overnight. Unmold on platter. Serve with pureed strawberries, raspberries, or? -----

An Intensely Rich, and nutty chocolate cake with the kick of espresso that contrast with the sweetness of the dark chocolate. It’s a cake you would buy at a coffee shop, except you get to decide how big of a slice you want. It’s also flourless so it’s naturally gluten-free. Another plus, and really it’s easy to put together.

Chocolate Hazelnut Espresso Torte
Crust:
In a food processor blend fine:
¾ Cup roasted hazelnuts
Add and blend well:
¼ Cup coconut oil
3 T. Maple syrup
¼ t. Salt
1-¼ Cups quick oats
Bake at 350°F
13min or until golden brown
Filling:
Blend smooth:
1-½ cups raw cashews (soaked 1 hour and drained)
¾ Cup maple syrup
½ t. Salt
⅔ Cups cocoa powder
⅛ Cup espresso or ¼ cup coffee
½ Cup Coconut oil
2 t. Vanilla extract
Pour into baked crust
Top with chopped chocolate chips
Freeze overnight
Thaw 30min before serving
