Chilli Garlic Prawns is one of the best Party Starter recipes. It taste's amazing and it is easy to make.
Ingredients:
(Serves 2)
- 2 tbsp Cornflour
- 2 tbsp All Purpose Flour
- 1 tsp Garlic Paste
- 1 tsp Ginger Paste
- 1 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper Powder
- 1 Egg
- 300 gms Prawns
- Oil
Ingredients For Slurry:
- 1 tbsp Cornflour
- 1 tbsp Water
Ingredients For Sauce:
- 2-3 tbsp Oil
- 2 tbsp Garlic(minced)
- 1/2 tbsp Ginger(minced)
- 2 Spring Onions White(Sliced)
- 3 Green Chillies(slit)
- 1 Capsicum
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Powder
- 2 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
- 1/2 tbsp Chilli Sauce
- 1/4 cup Water
- Salt
- 1/4 tsp Vinegar
Method:
1. Take cornflour in a bowl and add all purpose flour, garlic paste, ginger paste, dark soy sauce, black pepper powder to it
2. Now crack an egg to the mix, and whisk it without leaving any lumps
3. Add deveined prawns to the bowl, and mix it nicely
4. Now add these prawns to the hot oil, in a pan, and let it fry on each side
5. Once fried, take it out on a plate and keep it aside
6. Take cornflour in a small bowl; add water to it and mix it
7. Now, take oil in a pan and add minced garlic, minced ginger to it
8. Mix it till the raw smell goes away
9. Add sliced spring onions to the pan, along with slit green chillies
10. Now, turn the flame to medium and add chopped capsicum, black pepper powder, dark soy sauce, chilli sauce to it and mix it
11. Add water to the pan and mix it, and then, add the slurry, fried prawns to the pan
12. Mix it together and coat the prawns with the sauce
13. Add salt, vinegar to the pan; mix it again and serve it

Today's menu is 'Chili Shrimp'.
It is one of my favorite shrimp/prawn dishes.
Use 'Cocktail Shrimp (Cooked Frozen Shrimp)' instead of raw ones for a budget friendly version.
It's a perfect blend of sweet and spicy and I HIGHLY recommend it!
I prefer eating it with a bowl of rice but you can have with some bread if you want haha.
The ingredients are all basic and it's really easy to make so... even if your cooking skill lv isn't high yet, give it a try!
Ingredients:
Shrimp/Prawn: 200g
Garlic: 2 Cloves
Green Onion: 1-2
Butter: 1 Tbsp
Chili Oil: 1 Tbsp
Chili Flakes: 1 Tbsp
Sugar: 1 Tbsp
Black Pepper: 1 Pinch
Ketchup: 2 Tbsp
Soy Sauce: 1 Tbsp
Vinegar: 1 Tbsp
Water: 2 Tbsp

Garlic Butter Shrimp (Buttered Shrimp)
Garlic butter shrimp is a fresh shrimp dish, where shrimp is cooked with butter, sprite , tomato sauce and other spices. Shrimp is marinated in fresh sprite and fried in butter and garlic. This fried shrimp is further sautéed in a sauce made by sprite, butter, garlic, tomato paste, oyster sauce and spring onion. Make this buttered shrimp iin your homed with our recipe.

INGREDIENTS
500 grams shrimp (cleaned and deveined)
1 1/3 cup lime soda (Sprite or 7UP)
¼ cup butter (unsalted)
7 cloves of garlic (minced)
1 tablespoon tomato paste
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
chopped spring onions (for garnish)
DIRECTIONS
Clean and devein the shrimps and then place into a large bowl. Pour around a cup of lime soda. Marinate for around 15 minutes.
Heat a pan and melt some butter. Add the minced garlic and let it cook using low heat until browned.
Strain the marinade and add the shrimps to the pan. Toss them gently and cook until they change into orange. After a few minutes, remove the shrimps from the pan.
Put the tomato paste into the same pan and sauté for a minute.
Pour around 1/3 cup of lime soda into the pan. Stir until well-combined.
Add the oyster sauce and mix well. Let it cook until the sauce is reduced and slightly thickened.
Place the shrimps back to the pan and toss gently to coat with the sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Stir gently.
Transfer the garlic butter shrimp to a serving plate and sprinkle with some chopped spring onions. Make papak or serve with hot steaming rice. Enjoy!

1 tbsp Butter (or oil of your choice)
¼ of a medium White Onion (diced)
½ Bell Pepper (diced)
14 oz canned or fresh Tomatoes (diced)
15 oz can Small Red Beans
Kernels from two ears of White Corn
1 Serrano Pepper (minced)
1/8 cup Cilantro (minced)
½ tbsp Black Pepper
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 ½ tbsp Chili Powder
½ tsp Oregano
Pinch of Cumin
½ tsp Red Chili Flakes
1 ½ lb clean deveined Shrimp
Add salt to taste
Additions:
Green onion
Sour Cream
Cotija Cheese
INSTRUCTIONS:
•Melt butter in the pot and then sweat the Onion and Bell Pepper
•Once the Onions and Bell Pepper are done add
14 oz canned or fresh Tomatoes (diced)
15 oz can Small Red Beans
Kernels from two ears of White Corn
1 Serrano Pepper (minced)
1/8 cup Cilantro (minced)
½ tbsp Black Pepper
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 ½ tbsp Chili Powder
½ tsp Oregano
Pinch of Cumin
½ tsp Red Chili Flakes
•Stir to incorporate all ingredients and allow the pot to come to a slow simmer.
•Reduce the temperature to medium low, add and stir in the Shrimp, place the lid on for 3-5 minutes.
Afterwards you are ready to serve... You can enjoy this chili by itself, with rice or tortillas.
