How To make Chili N'Awlins
2 lb Ground round beef
1 lb Ground pork
5 c Chopped onions
1 1/2 T Chopped garlic
7 T Chili powder
2 cn Chopped green chili peppers
3 cn (16 oz) crushed tomatoes
3 T Tomato paste
4 Bay leaves, crumbled
1 T Salt
1 T Oregano
1 T Red wine vinegar
1 T Grown sugar
2 cn 16 oz) red kidney beans
1 pk Corn chips
1 Head lettuce, shredded
12 oz Sharp cheddar cheese, shredd
I had this when visiting friends in N'awlins. He didn't know the source of the recipe, but this was sure passable chili. In a large, heavy pot, brown the meat with the onions and the garlic. Drain off the fat and stir in the chili powder (depending on quality, you may want more - we get real cool stuff up here in the north). Add chilies, tomatoes, tomato paste, bay leaves, salt, oregano, vinegar, and brown sugar. Cover the pot and cook for 2 hours over low heat. Add beans and cook, uncovered, 30 minutes more. Serve with side dishes of corn chips, shredded lettuce, and shredded Cheddar cheese.

Hello my lovelies! Do you love New Orleans seafood boil, Cajun seafood boil, Juicy Crab Sauce and Blove's Smackalicious Sauce? If so, this video is for you. Today, I am making some New Orleans Cajun seafood boil with some crawfish, king crab, dungeness crab and green mussels. I love going to New Orleans to eat Cajun seafood boil. One of my favorite spot is the BOIL Seafood house. I usually make my seafood boil with Blove's Smackalicious Sauce, but today, I am making my own sauce from scratch for the first time. I know everyone doesn't have access to Amazon to purchase the Smackalicious Sauce. Therefore, I am making mine with readily available ingredients. Enjoy!

CAJUN SEAFOOD BOIL WATER INGREDIENTS
• Large pot of water
• 2 Tbsp Minced Garlic
• 1 small onion cut in half
• 2 fresh bay leaves or 4 dried leaves
• 2 large lemons
• Handful of thyme
• 2-3 tbsp brown sugar
• 2 Tbsp of Better Than Bouillon Lobster Base Sauce
• 2 Tbsp Seasoned salt
• 2 Tbsp Old Bay
• 1 Tbsp Tony’s Creole seasoning
• 1 Tbsp Louisiana Cajun seasoning (or salt-free options like Dak's or Benoit's salt-free Cajun)
• 2 Tbsp Paprika
• 1 stick of unsalted butter
CAJUN SEAFOOD BOIL SAUCE INGREDIENTS
• 4 sticks of unsalted butter
• 2 onions chopped (can also blend w/ garlic)
• 10-15 fresh garlic cloves minced (blended)
• 2 cups of chicken broth
• 3 Tbsp salt-free Cajun seasoning (Dak's or Benoit's salt-free Cajun seasoning)
• 1 Tbsp of River Road Spicy Cajun seasoning
• 2-3 Tbsp Paprika
• 1 Tbsp Cayenne pepper
• 1 Tbsp chili powder
• 1 Tbsp Voodoo seasoning by n'awlins
• 1-2 Tbsp Old Bay
• 1/2 Tbsp salt-free lemon pepper seasoning by Lawry's
• 1/2 or 1 tsp Ginger powder
• 1 Tbsp onion powder
• 1 Tbsp garlic powder
• 1/2 lime or lemon
• 1-2 Tbsp brown sugar
*Add the brown sugar and fresh lime or lemon juice last (about 3 minutes after all the dry ingredient). Taste as you go to determine the level of sweetness and sourness you desire.
*Optional for the Blove's Smackalicious Sauce flavor
• 1/2 Tbsp dry thyme
• 1/2 Tbsp dry oregano
