How To make Chicken Parmigiana 2 Crockpot

bread, crumbs, dry

pizza sauce, 10 1/2 oz can

mozarella cheese, slices
1
parmesan cheese
Directions:
If using whole chicken breasts, cut into halves. In bowl beat egg salt and pepper. Dip chicken into egg. Then coat with crumbs. In large skillet saute chicken in butter. Arrange chicken in crockpot. Pour pizza sauce over chicken. Cover and cook on Low 6 to 8 hours. Add mozzarella cheese, sprinkle parmesan cheese on top. Cover and cook 15 minutes.
Makes 6 servings.

►1 1/2 lbs (2 large) chicken breаsts cut in half for 4 cutlets
►1/2 cup all-purpose flour
►1 tsp salt, or to taste
►1/2 tsp black pepper, or to taste
►2 large eggs beaten until frothy
►1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
►1/2 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
►2 Tbsp extra light olive oil to sauté or as needed
►24 oz marinara sauce
►4 oz mozzarella cheese (1 cup shredded)
Easy Homemade Marinara Sauce (3 cups):
►2 Tbsp olive oil

3 garlic cloves, grated or, 1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon salt
2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese, divided
½ cup panko breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon olive oil
Cooked angel hair pasta, for serving (optional)
Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Cook in the slow cooker on low for 8 hours or 4 on high.
Yield 6 servings.

Slow Cooker Chicken Parmesan
Ingredients:
•1/3 cup seasoned bread crumbs
•2 tablespoons flour
•4 (4 oz each) raw boneless, skinless chicken breasts (1 lb total)
•2 egg whites
•1 ½ cups marinara sauce
•¾ cup 2% shredded Mozzarella cheese
Directions:
1.Spread the bread crumbs across the bottom of a large dry skillet and bring over medium heat. Cook for a few minutes, stirring every minute or so to rotate which crumbs are on the bottom until the crumbs are browned.
2.Combine the flour and chicken breasts in a large Ziploc bag and seal shut. Shake until the breasts are coated with the flour.
3.In a shallow bowl, lightly beat the 2 egg whites. Place the bread crumbs on a separate shallow bowl or plate. Dip one floured chicken breast in the egg whites, coating all sides, and then press it into the bread crumbs. Flip the breast to coat with crumbs and then place it into your slow cooker. Repeat with three remaining breasts, creating a single layer of breaded chicken breasts at the bottom of your slow cooker.
4.Spread the marinara sauce over the top of the chicken layer. Place the lid on your slow cooker and cook on low for 5-6 hours. About 15-20 minutes before the cooking is finished, add the cheese so it can melt. Serve and enjoy!

Crock Pot Chicken Parmesan
Ingredients
- 1 package raw chicken tenders
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1/2 cup AP flour
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- Vegetable oil for shallow fry
- 8 oz sliced mozzarella cheese
Sauce
- 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 2 tsp chopped oregano
- 2 tsp chopped basil
- Pasta (optional)
- Parmesan (optional)
Directions
1. Mix all sauce ingredients in crock pot.
2. Cover and cook on low 4-6 hours, high 3-5 hours
3. Meanwhile, poor enough oil into shallow pan to cover half of chicken tender and heat to 350F.
4. Dredge chicken tenders in flour, egg wash, and panko and fry until golden brown.
5. Add chicken to crock pot on top of sauce to finish cooking.
6. Place slices of cheese on top of chicken about 15 minutes before planning to serve.
*Optional, serve over bed of pasta with sprinkling of parmesan.
