Stuffed Tilapia & Cream Sauce ????
INGREDIENTS
• 2 lbs Tilapia Fillets
• 1 1/2 c Unseasoned Breadcrumbs
• 1/2 c Seasoned Breadcrumbs
• 2 1/2 c Heavy Cream
• Butter
• 1 Egg
• 1/2 c Olive Oil
• 1/2 c Chopped Green Onions
• 1 tbsp Garlic
• Cajun Seasoning
• Paprika
• Onion Powder
• Garlic Powder
• Black Pepper
• Chicken Bouillon
• Garlic Salt
• Blackened Seasoning
• Parsley
• Lime
HOW TO
• For the stuffing- combine the unseasoned & seasoned breadcrumbs, 2 melted sticks of butter, olive oil, chopped green onions, & egg.
• Season (1 tbsp each) with Cajun seasoning, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, chicken bouillon, then combine & set aside.
• Wash and dry the tilapia fillets.
• Season them with (1-2 tbsp each) blackened seasoning, Cajun seasoning, garlic salt, onion powder, then pat the seasonings into the fish- repeat this process for the other side of the fillets as well.
• Using your hands- add about a handful of the stuffing directly onto the fillets, then mold & press the stuffing firmly onto the fillets. The stuffing should be wet enough to be molded easily, but dry enough to stay on the fillet firmly.
• Sprinkle paprika on the tops for color.
• Bake at 375 degrees F for 20 mins, or until browned.
• For the cream sauce- med heat- add 2 tbsp of butter into a pan & once it’s melted, add the garlic and cook until aromatic.
• Add the heavy cream- then season to taste with Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chicken bouillon, parsley, then combine.
• Cook down for 10-15 mins, or until it begins to thicken. Once thick, add a squeeze of lime.
• Plate the fish & top it with some cream sauce. Garnish with some lime & parsley.
• Serve and enjoy!!
