How To make Cheese Stuffed Breadsticks
4 pieces string cheese
1 package (8) refrigerated breadstick dough
Separate the breadstick dough. Take one piece and fold a little bit of one end over the end of one piece of string cheese. Wind the dough round and round the cheese (this should go about halfway). Take a second piece of dough and overlap it a bit over the end of the first piece and continue winding around the chees e to the end, folding the last bit over itself and pinching the seams all along the length of it to completely seal in the cheese. Continue for the other thre e pieces of cheese. Bake for the time and temperature recommended for the breadsticks. Wrap in foil and freeze. To s erve: place frozen in lunchbox, it will defrost by lunchtime. Or remove foil an d microwave for a warm snack. Serves 4. This could be "cheapened up" by using h omemade bread dough and cutting a block of mozzarella into sticks. Make and fre eze them in bulk and making lunch would be a breeze - just take it out of the f reezer and pop it in the bag.

Cheese-Stuffed Breadsticks RECIPE

DOUGH INGREDIENTS:

1 1/2 cups Milk
1 teaspoon Granulated Sugar
1 3/4 teaspoon Active Dry Yeast
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) Unsalted Butter, at room temperature
1 1/2 teaspoons Kosher Salt
3 cups Bread Flour
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon Onion Powder
1/4 cup Parsley
1 teaspoon Crushed Red Peppers
1 Egg (to use as an egg wash)
STUFFING INGREDIENTS:

2 cups Mozzarella Cheese
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon Onion Powder
1 teaspoon Spanish Paprika
DIRECTIONS:
---------------------
Combine milk, yeast and sugar. Set it aside to dissolve for 5 minutes. Grab your mixer (or a stainless steel bowl) and pour the warm milk, softened butter, salt and half of the flour. Mix for a minute until well combined and then add the rest of the flour along with the crushed red peppers, garlic powder, onion powder and parsley. Turn your mixer to medium speed and knead the dough for 8-10 minutes. Grab a clean stainless steel bowl and spray it with pan spray and place the dough in it. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the dough double in size (draw a circle of its size in order to help you determine when it doubles in volume which might be about an hour depending on the room’s temperature). Once the dough doubles in size, preheat your oven to 400°F and line up three baking sheets with parchment paper. Flour the surface that you will be working on and cut little round pieces of dough that weigh 2 oz. each and place them on the floured surface. You should have about 15 pieces. To shape the breadsticks, grab one of the pieces of the dough and shape into a ball. Then grab a rolling pin and flatten the dough then add some of the seasoned Mozzarella cheese at the edge of the dough and roll it twice. Afterwards close the dough from the end then add a little more cheese and roll it once more, closing the ends while continuing rolling until reaching the end. Gently roll the dough on a dry surface which will assure it sticking together. Place the breadsticks on the parchment paper. Repeat this method on the rest of the dough. Once you finish, lightly brush them with you egg wash. Bake until golden brown, about 10-15 minutes. Serve warm and enjoy the seasoned cheesiness of these delicious soft breadsticks.

Homemade Bosco Sticks [[Cheese Filled Breadsticks]]
I love bosco sticks! So I decided to make some for our spaghetti night :)
1 cup plus 1 tbsp warm water
2 tbsp white sugar
1 packet active dry yeast
2 tbsp melted butter
3 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
6-8 mozzarella string cheese
2 tbsp butter
garlic powder (to taste)
parsley flakes (to taste)
1. Add water and sugar to mixing bowl and stir until combined.
2. Add the whole packet of yeast, gently stir, then allow to sit until foamy.
3. Stir in the 2 tbsp melted butter (warm not hot)
4. Stir in the flour one cup at a time, adding the salt after the first cup. By the third cup you will probably need to start kneading it by hand. Keep kneading until well combined.
5. Allow to sit for around an hour and a half or until the dough has doubled in size.
6. Once risen, divide dough into 6 to 8 equal pieces. Form each piece around one cheese stick (being extra careful to fully close the seam) and place on a lined or non stick baking sheet.
7. Allow another half hour to rise before baking in the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 to 12 minutes.
8. While the bread sticks bake, melt the 2 tbsp butter and mix in garlic power and parsley flakes to taste.
9. Once the breadsticks are done baking, brush the butter mixture over the tops.
