How To make Cantonese Sweet & Sour Chicken
1 Whole chicken breast
skinned and boned 1 tb Cornstarch
1 tb Kikkoman Soy Sauce
1 ts Minced fresh ginger root
1 cn Mandarin orange segments
:
(11 oz.) 2/3 c Kikkoman Sweet & Sour Sauce
2 tb Vegetable oil; divided
1/2 lb Fresh snow peas; trimmed
5 Green onions & tops
-- thinly sliced 1/2 c Unsalted roasted cashews
Cut chicken into 1-inch pieces. Combine next 3 ingredients and chicken; let stand 15 minutes. Meanwhile, reserving 1/4 cup syrup, drain mandarin oranges. Blend reserved syrup with sweet & sour sauce; set aside. Heat 1 Tbsp. oil in hot wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and stir-fry 2 minutes; remove. Heat remaining 1 Tbsp. oil in same pan. Add snow-peas; stir-fry 1 minute. Add green onions; stir-fry 30 seconds longer. Add chicken, cashews and sweet & sour sauce mixture; cook, stirring, until all ingredients are coated in sauce. Gently stir in mandarin oranges; heat through. Sweet And Sour Chicken Hong Kong Style
Recipe
If possible try and use measuring cups and measuring spoons
Ingredients
2 lge chicken breasts diced per video..This will be enough for two portions
You only see me use one in the video but two were used
Batter mix
Add your diced chicken to a bowl and add the following ingredients
2 medium sized eggs
1/4 cup of shaoxing wine
1 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of cornflour
1/2 cup of vegetable oil
Mix everything together and shallow fry for ten minutes..
Note do not over cook..Use about 15 pieces for a portion size
Veg for frying
1 medium onion chopped
1/4 green pepper chopped
1/4 red pepper chopped
1/4 yellow pepper chopped
1 spring onion
Some pineapple chunks
Sauce for one portion
1/2 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon light soya sauce
1/3 cup of white vinegar
1/4 cup of brown sugar . Not 3/4 cup as stated in the video, typo error
1/2 cup of unsweetened pineapple juice
1 teaspoon of cornflour
Method
Add two tablespoons of vegetable oil to your wok and add your veg apart from the spring onion
Cook for a few minutes on a high heat
Next add your chicken and heat through and then add your sauce followed by your pineapple and spring onion...Done

My Sweet and Sour Chicken Recipe super tasty.
I show you how to make the perfect crispy chicken and how to make sweet and sour sauce so tasty that you will want to make a double batch - thats what we did ;)

Ingredients:
Crispy Fried Chicken:
• 5 tbsp vegetable oil
• 2 eggs lightly beaten
• 3 tbsp cornflour/cornstarch
• 10 tbsp plain/all-purpose flour
• ½ tsp salt
• ½ tsp pepper
• ½ tsp garlic salt
• 2 tsp paprika
• 3 chicken breast fillets chopped into bite-size chunks
Sweet and Sour Sauce:
• 1 tbsp vegetable oil
• 1 large onion peeled and chopped into large chunks
• 1 red pepper chopped into 1 inch pieces
• 1 green pepper chopped into 1 inch pieces
• 2 cloves of garlic peeled and chopped/crushed
• 1 tsp minced ginger
• 9 tbsp tomato ketchup (check it's a gluten free version if you're gluten intolerant)
• 2 tbsp malt vinegar (replace with cider vinegar for gluten free)
• 6 tbsp dark brown muscovado sugar
• 475 g can of pineapple chunks in juice
To Serve:
• Boiled or fried rice
• 1 tsp sesame seeds
