Peanut Butter Easter Eggs
I found this recipe in a little recipe book from Taste of Home magazine.
These are really good!
1/2 cup butter
2 1/3 cups confectioner's sugar (powdered sugar)
1 cup graham cracker crumbs (or some other finely crushed slightly sweet biscuit if you don't have the graham crackers where you live)
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups dark (or semi-sweet) chocolate chips
2 tbsp shortening
Sprinkles for decorating.
In a large bowl, cream butter; gradually add the confectioner's sugar, cracker crumbs, peanut butter and vanilla. Shape into 16 eggs (I made 30 smaller ones) place on waxed paper-lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until firm.
In a microwave, melt the chocolate chips and shortening, stir until smooth. Dip the eggs in chocolate, allow excess to drip off. Decorate with sprinkles; return the eggs to waxed paper. Chill until set. Store in an airtight in the refrigerator.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Easter Eggs
Hey guys! I have gotten alot of questions as to why I used flour instead of confectioners sugar when rolling out the dough. Here is why: there was a possibility that I would add milk to the mixture on the board. When adding milk the confectioners sugar does not work as well as flour. because it dissolves quickly in the milk. Now you must use the flour very sparingly but no, you absolutely could not taste and flour.
Eatser eggs
2 cups powdered sugar
1cup peanut butter
2 Tbls milk
2 cups chocolate chips
1 Tbls Crisco
Assemble per video instructions

DIY Peanut Butter & Candy Filled Easter Eggs!
In this video I show you how to make your own peanut butter and candy filled chocolate Easter eggs. These candies are usually between $2 and $5 in stores. So why not make your own at home with a few ingredients.
If you're not using a mold, shape the peanut butter filling into an egg. Freeze for at least an hour, then dip in chocolate. Decorate with candy melts, sprinkles and whatever else you have on hand. Whatever you create, make it fun! Happy Easter.

Cookie Dough Scoop (Affiliate Link):
Ingredients
2 cups creamy peanut butter not natural peanut butter (475g)
1/2 cup 1 stick salted butter softened (113g)
2 Tablespoons brown sugar* packed
1 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 1/4 cups powdered sugar 405g
1 1/2 lbs milk or dark chocolate melting wafers or 1 1/2 lbs chocolate chips + 1 teaspoon shortening
Instructions
00:00 Introduction
00:25 Combine creamy peanut butter and softened butter in a large bowl (or preferably in the bowl of a stand mixer) and use an electric mixer to beat until creamy and well-combined.
00:39 Add brown sugar and vanilla extract and stir well.
00:54 Gradually, about 1/2 cup at a time, add powdered sugar, mixing on low-speed until all sugar is absorbed and mixture clinging together. Be sure to scrape the sides and bottoms of the bowl with a spatula as needed.
01:40 Scoop dough by about 2 Tablespoons and roll into an egg shape. Flatten slightly (for a Reese's egg appearance) and transfer to a wax paper lined baking sheet.
02:13 Once all dough has been rolled transfer to freezer and chill for at least 15 minutes.
02:19 Once chilled, prepare your melting wafers according to package instructions or prepare chocolate chips by combining chocolate chips and shortening and microwaving in 20 second intervals, stirring well in between, until chocolate is smooth and completely melted.
02:46 Remove eggs from freezer and dip in melted chocolate. If decorating with sprinkles, sprinkle immediately over chocolate.
03:45 Allow chocolate to harden (if you used melting wafers this will only take minutes) before enjoying.
