Squid was prepared this way for us on the beach on Catalina Island. Created by: Jean-Michel Cousteau.
Clean squid. Separate head from body, reserving legs and ink sac. Chop legs and reserve. Squeeze ink from sac over small bowl and reserve ink. Remove quill from body and peel off outer skin of squid. Set squid aside. Heat half of oil in large skillet over medium coals or on stovetop. Add onion, garlic, lemon, bay leaves, thyme and paprika and season to taste with salt and pepper. Cook until onion is translucent. Mix ink with flour to make paste. Add chopped legs, half of onion mixture from pan and half of rice. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Stuff squid with rice mixture and secure opening with wood picks. Heat remaining onion mixture in skillet. Place stuffed squid in pan and cook, turning often, until golden on all sides, about 10 minutes. Remove squid and bay leaves and spread remaining rice in layer in pan. Arrange squid over rice, cover and cook 10 minutes longer. Serve squid over rice and garnish with parsley sprigs and lemon wedges, if desired.

CAMPFIRE MUSSEL COOKING | Survival food from the ocean
Campfire mussels are a great way to get a protein fix straight from the ocean. This is one of the best survival foods available if you find yourself in a coastal region as mussels are easy to acquire and you can cook them straight on the fire even without any of the ingredients I use in this video. I cook mussels that I collect from the ocean on a camp fire and share some do's and don'ts. Remember if mussels don't open, discard them, they're no good for eating.
Recipe is not exact as I add ingredients to taste but here are approximate measures. Don't eat mussels that don't open when you cook them.
500g mussels
Table spoon butter
One table spoon olive oil
Half a chopped onion
Two garlic cloves
One green chili
One stock cube
One cup of water
One cup of cream mixed with a tablespoon of corn flour
One cup dry white wine
Garlic bread to serve
As soon as your mussels start opening you can remove them from the heat. This only takes about 5-10 minutes.
Mussels cooked directly on the fire have a fantastic smoked taste to them.

Then the Lord said to Moses, “I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way I will test them and see whether they will follow my instructions. On the sixth day they are to prepare what they bring in, and that is to be twice as much as they gather on the other days.” Exodus 16v4-5
