How to cook hanger steak | Jess Pryles
How to cook hanger steak.
It's got a few different names: hanger, onglet, and the butchers cut. Hanger is one of the more obscure steak cuts, and its super unique because there's only one per animal.
I'm going to tell ya where a hanger steak comes from, show you how to trim and cut it and MOST importantly, show you how to cook a hanger steak too.

Cooking a mayo coated steak | Jess Pryles
Cooking a mayo coated steak!
Mayonnaise is (of course) a common condiment. And while people happily add it to a roast beef sandwich, it's much more unusual to see it used with cooking steaks. Coating a steak in mayo is supposed to help achieve a golden brown crust and promote a more epic sear, and I wanted to put that to the test!
I use a Butterpat skillet (in the Joan size) to cook the steak.
