FRIED PEAS AND MUSHROOMS SIDE DISH RECIPE
Welcome to How to Mealz! How to make fried peas and mushrooms? Well today we're going to tell you just that ;p
▬ Ingredients ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
- 250g of mushrooms (cut into 4 parts)
- 1 medium sized red onion (finely chopped)
- 200g of frozen peas
- Chili flakes
- 1/2 tsp of cumin
- Pepper
- Salt
- Butter
▬ Recipe ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
1. Put a pan on a fire
2. Add a good amount of butter and let it melt
3. Add the mushrooms and give them a good coating with the butter
4. Let them fry on a medium fore until they're golden brown
5. Once the mushrooms are half way done, season with salt
6. Add the onions
7. Once the onions are looking glazy add the peas
8. Season with cumin and chili flakes, pepper and salt
9. Give it a good stir
10. Let them fry while stirring until they're done!

Brown Stew Mushroom With Rice and Black Eyed Peas and Coleslaw Without Mayo|| Plantbased Dinner Idea
Ingredients
Rice and Black Eyed Peas:
1 cup black eyed peas ( soak over night or for a few hours).
3 cups rice
4 garlic cloves
Few sprigs thyme
1/4 white onion
1/2 tsp all spice
1 tsp grated ginger
1 tsp pink Himalayan salt
3 stalks scallion
1 whole scotch bonnet pepper
1 and 1/2 cup coconut milk
3 1/2 cups water to cook peas
All purpose seasoning( seasoned to your liking)
Brown stew mushroom:
1 small pack Bella mushroom( when I say dry the mushrooms I meant pat dry with a paper towel or cloth)
1/2 onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp allspice
Dash Black pepper
1 tsp All purpose seasoning
Dash celery salt
1/4 green bell pepper
1/4 tomato
Small piece scotch bonnet without seeds
2 stalks scallion
3 garlic cloves
1/4 tsp browning
2 tbsp ketchup
About 1 and 1/2 cups water
Oil
Although I forgot to add the carrot you can add it.
Coleslaw
1/2 large white cabbage
1 carrot
1/2 green bell
2 stalks scallion
1/2 lemon juice
3 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Feel free to adjust these recipe to your liking and use ingredients you have on hand.

Black Eye Peas with Mushrooms Curry
SERVES 6
1 cup dried black-eyed peas, SOAKED AND DRAINED or tin peas
4 cups water
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 (1-inch) cinnamon stick
1 cup red onions, chopped
4 garlic cloves, minced
½ pound button mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
1 pound ripe tomatoes, blanched and chopped
2 teaspoons ground coriander
1 teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon turmeric
¼ teaspoon chilli pwoder
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
In a large saucepan over high heat, combine the peas, water and ½ teaspoon of salt. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer until the peas are tender, about 45 minutes.
Drain the peas, rinse with cold water, drain again, and transfer to a large bowl to cool.
Heat the oil in a heavy-bottomed frying pan or saucepan. Add the cumin seeds and cinnamon stick; let them sizzle for 10 seconds. Add the onions and garlic. Stir over medium heat until soft and starting to brown, about 5 minutes. Add the mushroom and fry for 2 to 3 minutes. Add the tomatoes, ground coriander, cumin, turmeric, paprika and salt. Cover and cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
Add the cooked black-eyed peas to the tomato and mushroom mixture and season with salt to taste. Stir in the cilantro leaves and simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes.

It started out as a mushroom gravy but turned into black eyes peas and mushrooms with broccoli on the the side. I also cooked spaghetti with Nates meatless meatballs that night.

2 pound ground beef
2 medium onions, chopped
2 small green peppers copped
4 cans black-eyed peas (drained)
2 cans 10oz cream of mushroom
shreded cheese
