How To make Beaver Club Banana Bread
3 bananas
2 cups sugar
7 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 eggs
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup yogurt
1/2 cup milk
3 cups flour
Combine bananas, sugar, soda, and salt in blender. Blend on high speed for 1 minute. Pour into mixing bowl and add eggs one at a time. Then add oil, yogurt and milk. Add flour last.
Pour batter into loaf pans lined with buttered parchment. Place in 275? oven on centre rack. Do not remove until 2 1/2 hours are up.

How to Make Beaver Tails - A Simple Canadian Pastry Recipe
Beaver tail is a famous Canadian pastry that is very easy to make. I will show you how to do it and give you ideas for a few toppings!

Beaver tail recipe
- 125ml warm whole milk
- 11g active dry yeast
- 50g sugar
- 40g melted butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 300g all purpose flour
- canola oil for deep frying
Mix the yeast with milk and sugar. Add 1/3 of the flour and an egg. Mix until smooth and add melted butter. Gradually add rest of the flour. Continue kneading by hand for 10 minutes until smooth. Proof in an oiled bowl until doubled in size (approximately 1 hour). Divide the dough into six balls and start rolling them into an oblong shape. Should be around the size of your hand. Deep fry in canola oil at about 160°C until nicely colored (1-2 minutes) and repeat on the other side. Drain on paper towels.
Caramelized apple topping
- apples
- demerara sugar
- brandy
- butter
- icing sugar
- flaky salt (optional)
- roasted nuts (optional)
Melt the demerara sugar on the pan, add butter and apples. Continue cooking until apples start to soften. Deglaze with brandy. Cook until you have a nice caramel glaze on the apples. Serve with beaver tails. Drizzle syrup all over and dust with icing sugar. You could also add some flaky salt and roasted nuts!
Cinnamon sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 250g sugar
- lemon
Mix the sugar with cinnamon. Coat the warm beaver tails with the sugar and serve it a slice of lemon.
Banana brûlée
- banana
- demerara sugar
- maple syrup
Cut the banana into thin slices and cover the beaver tail with it. Cover the bananas with a thin layer of demerara sugar and use a torch to caramelize the sugar. Drizzle some maple syrup on top!
