Chinese Takeout-Style Tofu And Broccoli

Here is what you'll need!
Chinese Takeout-Style Tofu And Broccoli
Servings: 2-4
INGREDIENTS
14 ounces firm tofu
1½ teaspoons sesame oil, divided
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
3 cups broccoli florets
3 tablespoons vegetable broth
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1-2 tablespoons cornstarch slurry (1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water)
¼ cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons agave syrup
1½ teaspoons toasted sesame seeds
Optional:
Green Onion
Sesame seeds
PREPARATION
1. Wrap tofu in two layers of paper towels and place on a plate. Put another plate on top of the tofu to weigh it down, and microwave for 2-3 minutes, or until drained.
2. After microwaving, carefully unwrap tofu and slice into ½-1 inch cubes. Pat each cube dry.
3. In a large nonstick skillet, heat vegetable oil and 1 teaspoon of sesame oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add cubes of tofu and cook on all sides until golden brown, approximately 2-4 minutes per side, then remove from pan and set aside.
4. Add broccoli to the hot pan and add vegetable broth. Cover with a lid and reduce heat to medium-low. Steam for 5 minutes.
5. Remove lid and turn heat back up to medium-high.
6. Add garlic, grated ginger, and ½ teaspoon sesame oil. Stir to soften.
7. Add in soy sauce, agave, sesame seeds, and cornstarch slurry. Stir until thickened to desired consistency.
8. Add tofu back into broccoli and sauce mixture.
9. Serve over white rice and garnish with green onion and sesame seeds.
10. Enjoy!

Tofu and Broccoli stir fry is a tasty dish that you can cook for lunch or dinner. The good thing about this recipe is its ease in preparation and the ingredients are readily available in most supermarkets.
Ingredients:
Corn starch 2 tb
Broccoli florets 5 n
Tofu 5 pieces
Salt
Chilly flakes 1 ts
Oil 2 tb
Garlic chopped 1 ts
Ginger chopped ½ ts
Soya sauce ½ ts
Chilly paste 1 ts
Vinegar ½ ts
Sugar 1 ts
Spring onions 3 n
Stock 2 cup
Directions:
Take the broccoli and cut them into florets, and tofu also cut them in to length wise
Take corn starch in a bowl add salt, chilly flakes, add water mix it like a thick paste.
Heat oil in a pan add the tofu (dip it in the corn starch mixture) cook it all sides till golden colour, in this add chopped garlic, chopped ginger, Soya sauce, chilly paste, vinegar, sugar, spring onions, add stock (chicken stock, or vegetable stock), salt. Add broccoli and stir fry add corn starch slurry, mix it well, and switch off the flame.

Stir fry vegetables with tofu is quick and easy to prepare at the same time a healthy recipe.
Serve it while it's hot and best partnered with freshly-steamed rice.
Ingredients:
Ingredients for mixed sauce:
30g oyster sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp ground pepper
4 tbsp water
1 tsp of cornstarch
1/2 tsp sesame oil
for sauteeing:
4 cloves garlic
1 medium-sized onion
75g carrots
75g green beans
75g snow peas
40g wood ear mushrooms or tenga ng daga
mixed sauce
500g fried tofu
75g or 1 medium-sized red bell pepper
