RECIPE: Apple Oat Pie Crust
INGREDIENTS: 1 cup oat flour 1/4 teaspoon Kosher salt 1/2 cup applesauce, smooth
INSTRUCTIONS: 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2: Mix together the oat flour and salt. 3: Mix in the applesauce. 4: Press the mixture into a pie pan. Start with the sides, then move to the bottom. (The mixture will be sticky) 5: Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned. 6: This pie crust is ready to be filled with a no-bake pie filling. Fill the pie crust at least several hours before serving. This will soften the crust.
NOTES: You can use 1 1/4 cups of quick oats in place of the oat flour. You may want to loosen the edges of the pie crust before cutting and removing from the pan. You can use another salt if you do not have Kosher salt. ________________________________
