How To make Barbecued Short Ribs For Smoker
1 3-4 lb beef short ribs, bone
-less or thin sliced* 1 1/2 c Barbecue sauce of your choic
-e 1/3 c Seafood cocktail sauce
3 tb Wine vinegar
Directions: Place ribs in a baking dish, bowl or heavy duty plastic bag. Combine other ingredients and pour over ribs. Toss ribs so all are evenly coated. Refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight. Remove ribs from the sauce and place on smoker grid. Baste with sauce before cooking and once during cooking. * This sauce can be used on bone-in ribs, just increase cooking time. CHARCOAL: Use 5-7 lbs. charcoal, 3 quarts hot water, 2 wood sticks and smoke 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours. ELECtrIC: Use 2 1/2 quarts hot water, 2

Beef Ribs
Beef Ribs. The Texas BBQ that made me fall in love with BBQ after growing up on sweet, pork BBQ in the south. These are the King of all BBQ for me.
When you are eating BBQ in Texas you are typically eating what is known as short ribs or plate ribs. AKA 123A or 3 bone beef ribs which are trimmed from the mid-section of ribs 6 through 8. This cut can sometimes be difficult to find outside of a butcher shop.
A good alternative are 130 beef chuck short ribs, aka 4 bone beef ribs which originate from the mid-section of ribs 2 through 5. These are easily found at grocery stores or Costco or just ask your butcher.

Beef Short Ribs on the Weber Kettle by David Ong
The secret to making the best smoked beef short ribs ever in your Weber kettle smoker with the best bark!

I'm sharing all my tips, tricks and recipe, so your neighbours will be able to hear that crunch from next door.
Step by step instructions on how to impress your family and friends with juicy, tender and melt in your mouth ribs in your smoker.
This method should take around 4-5 hours but that can vary depending on conditions and how much meat you have in the Weber kettle.
Don't forget to use good quality beef ribs with this recipe with a bit of marbling to give yourself the best chance of nailing it first shot.
