How To make Banana Fritters
1 1/2 C. all-purpose flour
1 Tsp. baking powder
1/4 Tsp. baking soda
1/4 Tsp. salt
3/4 C. water
4 firm bananas
3 C. vegetable oil
Combine 1 cup of the flour, the baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large bowl. Gradually blend in water, beating with a whisk until smooth. Peel bananas, making a total of 12 pieces. Cut each banana in 3 pieces, crosswise. Coat bananas lightly with remaining cup of flour. Heat oil in wok over medium-high heat, until it reaches 375 degrees. Dip bananas in flour-water mixture, coating completely. Cook 4 to 6 pieces at a time in the oil, until golden, 3 to 5 minutes. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot with ice cream.

Rice flour 1/2 cup
Cinnamon powder 1/4 tsp
All purpose flour (maida) 2 tbsp
Sugar 2 tbsp
Baking soda 1/8 tsp
Mix well
Water 1/3 cup
Thick batter
Keep aside
Banana 3 pieces
Hot oil
Fry until golden brown medium high flame
NOTE: 1 CUP = 250 ML

Banana fritters in syrup is a classic Chinese take away dessert, every Chinese take away have this on their menu. It is made by deep frying the banana in batter until golden brown and drizzle syrup on top. The batter used is similar to those made for Chicken in batter dishes. Below is my recipe on this tasty dessert:)

Ingredients
vegetable oil for deep fry
200 g self raising flour
200 ml water
1 banana (cut into 3 pieces)
pinch of salt
syrup to drizzle.
Method
Make the batter by mixing the flour and salt with water until it become a runny paste.
Cut the banana into 3 equal pieces and put it into the batter.
Heat oil to 180C temperature and deep fry the banana until golden brown.
Drizzle syrup all over the banana fritters... more the better:)
